yeah it’s a bit tricky because of the Arabic terminology so it takes some getting used to even for me and Turkish is my second language.
Look at the top left of your screen. There are two tabs. Quran and next to it is Hadith.

Position your cursor on the Quran tab - it’s going to offer you 9 options to choose from

Click on “list all suras”

searchtruth.com/list.php

A new page will load with the suras click on the above link to review-

my example has the first one.

There is column called “Languages”
1 سورة الفاتحة Al-Fatiha The Opening 7 Makkah All Translations, Arabic (Uthmani, Simple), Tafsir, Transliteration (Simple, Color), English (Yusuf Ali, Shakir, Pickthal, Mohsin Khan), French, Spanish, Indonesian, Melayu, German, Russian, Turkish, Bosnian, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Farsi, Urdu
All of them are “clickable”…

Now, click on the translation you want. I generally pick “Picktal” so click on that name

Once you click on Picktal you’ll see this… below

searchtruth.com/chapter_display.php?chapter=1&translator=4

So you read but you want to know what it means… on that same screen there are options… such as…

Al-Fatiha | 7 verses | The Opening | **Tafsir **<----- click on the Tafsir… and you’ll get this… see link below…

searchtruth.com/tafsir/tafsir.php?chapter=1

OK… so you read… click the browser back button to return to the sura…

There are some other nice things on the main sura which is you can click on “**all **translations” and then click on “display”…<------ that is you key button to tell the program go out and get new info…always

**Show Arabic Text Show **All Translations ** ** <-------- and you will get this…

Once you’ve done that, this is the screen you will see… All translations in verse order…

searchtruth.com/chapter_display_all.php?chapter=1

Best regards,
Pam

** dzhereme, Nobody can stop such evil deeds because the christians do not support the moderate Muslims. They support the bigots. The christians say that bigots are doing alright according to Quran while that is not so.**
Are there really any moderate Muslims?

**
So if people like me keep on shouting, our voice is suppressed by the Catholics. Therefore, nobody can stop such evil deeds. Anyhow, if the Muslims are doing bad in the religious side, the christians are doing worst in the political side. Do you dzhereme try to stop the political turmoil or killing of the Muslism by the western countries? Did your pope ever try?
**

Our Pope is always calling for peace and an end to violence. He has stated that religion and violence don’t go together, but that means nothing to a religion who’s main teachings degrade others and promote mayhem against them and even other Muslims.

What about Muslims killing Muslims? There’s plenty of that going on. Tell me, why would a Muslim woman holding a child by the hand go into an area where other Muslim women and children were getting food and other aid and blow herself and them up? Here’s the link. That is insane and diabolical! See also this other link about woman’s inhumanity to woman in Islamic countries:

“I have written a number of articles about Muslim mothers who have participated, both directly and indirectly, in the honor killing of their daughters; and about female Muslim suicide-homicide bombers who have specifically targeted other women and children.
For example, in 2008, in Iraq, one of four female homicide bombers entered a tent that provided shelter to weary female religious pilgrims. She sat down, read the Koran with them, and left a bag behind that, moments later, blew them all up. Please note that she targeted weary, religious Muslim women.
Thus, I was dismayed but not surprised when a Sunni, Al-Qaeda plot emerged, one in which male terrorists raped eighty Muslim girls and women, then turned them over to Samira Jassim who patiently, persistently, “maternally,” persuaded the rape victims, (many of whom had been targeted because they were depressed or mentally ill), to “cleanse” their shame by blowing themselves and other Muslims up. Twenty eight women did so.
In an interview with Dr. Anat Berko, the author of The Path to Paradise. The Inner World of Suicide Bombers and Their Dispatchers, she pointed out that there is “always a woman” behind the female suicide bomber, who functions like a “pimp or a Madam in a brothel.” Potential women suicide bombers are never alone again, they are always accompanied by at least one, usually older woman, who encourages, manipulates, guards, and supports the potential shaheeda–just like a mother might do.” Phyllis Chessler

Instead of always criticising Christians, Jews and the “West”, take a look at what’s in your own backyard!

And please don’t bring up the old chestnut: “That is not Islamic”

**Booklover, please do not forget the number of christians killed by the christians during the two world wars… So many muslims have not been killed by the Muslims as the high number of christians were killed by the christians. They were in Millions.

What do you say??**

** In the name of Allah , the Most Gracious , Ever Merciful **

http://theislampath.com/smf/Smileys/default/salam.gif

Al-Fatihah: The Essence of the Quran *

[In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Praise be to God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment.

Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek,

Show us the straight way, The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.] (Al-Fatihah: 1-7)

…The word “Al-Fatihah” means “opener”. So this chapter is the “opener” of the Quran. It has seven verses that are repeated by every Muslim many times during the course of his or her daily prayers.

Thus the chapter is also called the As-Sab Al-Mathani,that is, “the Seven Oft-Repeated.” (Al-Hijr 15:87)

This surah also has many other names: Umm Al-Quran(the Essence of the Quran), Al-Asas (the Foundation), Ash-Shafiyah (the Healer), and Al-Kafiyah (the Sufficient).

…Basic Principles in Al-Fatihah

-The essence of religion is thankfulness to God.

-God is the Lord and Sustainer of the whole universe.

-God is very kind, loving, and merciful.

-God is also the Judge, and He does not tolerate injustice, evil, and sin.

-The Day of Judgment will inevitably come.

-Worship should be only for God, and all prayers for requests should be directed to Him alone.

-One should continuously seek God’s guidance and remain on the path of truth and righteousness.

-True righteousness comes when we follow the example of those who were righteous and who were under God’s grace: the prophets, messengers, and pious and devoted people of God.

-One should always be careful not to make the Most Merciful angry.

-One should never ignore the path of guidance and should always be careful not to go astray.

After this introduction comes the rest of the Quran. Muslims consider Al-Fatihah as the prayer and the Quran as the answer to that prayer.

Can you never answer anything without using a tu quoque? Do you not even care about the innocent children killed by that female suicide bomber? Apparently not. I’m beginning to see that all that Muslims seem to care about is how they appear to others. Underneath the pious and modest exterior there is simply fanaticism, but no mercy or compassion, nothing. Wake up, Planten!

he just wanna to say to you that whatever the conclusions you had about islam because of wars between them , so it should be the same conclusion for your religion either

anyway . any sane man will recognize that it’s impossible that islam commands muslims to kill muslims
so whatever the reasons is , it’s for sure opposing the religion of islam

I get so tired of Muslims blaming Christians for everything by saying we don’t support them because that is total nonsense. I speak out against the plight of Turkish Christians all the time in my parish I educate people on the threats that Christians in Turkey face and many people are shocked to find out that there are even Christians in Turkey who are not foreigners or that people die on a regular basis just for believing in Christ. I do this because I feel it is my responsibility as a Catholic to speak for Turkish Christians and martyrs who cannot speak for themselves because living in America it is safe for me to do that. I believe in the messages of both the Catholic Church which has repeatedly called for peace and the message of Atatürk who called for peace at home and peas around the world and I want to do whatever I can to make that happen that is why I align myself with the Catholic Church in Turkey so I can speak for those Christians who cannot speak because I refuse to sit back and do nothing!

Jay,… you are not alone. I too have the same problem. I can read bits and pieces and then I go to the tafsir to try to understand what I’ve read.

My problem is… and it’s a mental problem… processing arabic names. My brain shuts down and I cannot keep up. And it isn’t just the koran, it’s anything dealing with arabic names and words.

And then the PBUH is mixed in there with everytime mohamad is mentioned or any other
“person” is mentioned I shut down even quicker. 🤷
Hiya

I thought I’d give you a tip on remembering Arab names. So many things start with A, which is why people get confused–and a lot of people do get confused, actually–since I think people tend to file things with the first letter… and then the second letter… so it’s worse when a lot of names start with “Ab…” also.

So here’s the tip.

Abu==Father (of). Remember that movie Aladdin, and the monkey’s name is Abu? Kinda weird that he named the monkey “Dad” but that’s the meaning of “Abu.” So if you see something that starts with “Abu” like “Abu Talib,” you can see that “Abu” is like the title (called a kunya) and Talib is the name of the person’s son, typically. Sometimes there is a word that’s not actually a name, but the person is called by a well-known nickname. Examples: Abu Hurayrah, Abu Bakr.

Another word you see at the beginning of names is “Abd” which means “slave” or “servant” more or less. A lot of times Muslims have names that start with “Abd” and then have a name of Allah, like “Abd Allah” (Abdallah, Abdullah, etc) which means servant/slave of Allah. Or you might see "Abd Ar-Rahman (AbdurRahman, AbdulRahman, etc.) or “Abd Al-Malik” and so on.

It’s also useful to say that the “Al-” at the beginning of a name or any word is just the definite article, i.e., “the.”

Maybe that will help you remembering names. 🙂

Are they really? I will have to see if I can find them. I’ll try to use the ‘search the Quran’ site - maybe I’ll come up with something. Thanks. 🙂
Actually those things are not in the Qur’an, but I encourage you to read it to prove that to yourself or anyone else.

I have the answer to whether or not Muslims believe that Jesus was beaten whipped and crowned with thorns. According to this Muslim scholar from Candida Jesus** did not suffer those punishments because pilot ordered much lighter punishments because he did not really want to kill Jesus so he ordered his soldiers to do it in the least painful way possible.** Also the Muslim scholar claims that passion of the Christ was all a lie and things did not really happened that way and we have no proof that Jesus died actually died on the cross itself. Muslim women was correct the period of time leading up to the crucifixion is not discussed in any of the Hadiths or the Koran itself. You can find this information in the first two videos. In the first video skip the middle of it and then the answer ends by the first part of the second video.
To be quite honest I only watched the first and part of the second video because after the Muslim scholar said that the passion of the Christ movie was fake I could not stomach anything else he had to say because that was over the top for me I just couldn’t take any more.

Aydan - do not upset yourself over this. Remember…

False prophets

Anti-Christ

Christianity and Judaism existed in the time of mohamad. He obviously was drawn into a different direction by a different spirit and created islam because the two existing religions didn’t suit him.

Remember - GOD never spoke to mohamad.

God SPEAKS to all of HIS prophets.

He, mohamad is not a prophet of God.

He is a self made prophet like the Smith guy from the mormon world. Joining mohamad was Jim Jones, Charles Mason, the Smith dude and many other false prophets.

I leave you right now in Christ’s hands for comfort!

Best regards,
Pam

nah this stuff doesn’t upset me I’m strong in my faith. And I trust in God. I’m around Muslims a lot so I’m well-versed in both Catholicism and Islam. You have to be when your second language is Turkish. I was just saying I have no desire to watch this series of videos. Stuff like this comes with the territory when you are a Turkish Catholic. But thanks it’s always nice to get encouragement.

** dzhereme, Nobody can stop such evil deeds because the christians do not support the moderate Muslims. They support the bigots. The christians say that bigots are doing alright according to Quran while that is not so.**

So Muslims need some sort of Christian power or support before they can deal with their own communities? No, I’m afraid I don’t buy this for a second, because anything even slightly connected with Christianity (especially western Christianity) is seen as a plot by some people in the Muslim world to “Christianize” the Middle East (that’ll be the day!), so I don’t believe that ordinary Muslims, the “moderates” as you call them, the ones who actually need to do the work of standing up to extremism, actually depend on Christians at all. The opinions of my brothers and sisters in Christ across the Middle East and the world are not what determines whether or not Muslims behave badly. Really, grow up. You cannot blame Muslims who you yourself admit are acting against Islam on Christians. We wouldn’t think for a second of blaming bad behavior of Christians on Muslims…the two are not related!
So if people like me keep on shouting, our voice is suppressed by the Catholics.

Booklover, they probably feel their scales are leaning to the ‘virtuous’ since that is how they twist it in their minds.

But, what they cannot get their minds around is that Chritianity was not the driving factor in Hitler’s war, or the ones who were helping him. But, there were Muslims such as the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and panzers of Bosnian Muslims helping Hitler kill others.

And it was a majority of Christian nations who helped the Jews fight these Nazis and Muslims. We swatted out the anti-semitism and Nazis but didn’t do anything about the Muslims who helped the Nazis and they were allowed to go to Africa and Eastern Europe and fester and grow.

This movement was the beginning of the such organizations such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others; the radicalization of the Wahabbis; and many of these characters were related to such as Saddam Hussein, Yassar Arafat.

Yassar Arafat’s uncle recruited Bosnian muslims for the Nazi SS

You are very welcome Jay. Yeah you kind of have to brace yourself especially since the Muslim scholar in no uncertain terms trashes the Gospels and a bunch of other things. May God’s blessings and peace be with you as well.
