I’ve just finished Mercedes Lackey’s Closer to the Heart, the second book in her Herald Spy series.

The Godless Delusion: A Catholic Challenge to Modern Atheism by Kenneth Hensley and Patrick Madrid

Just finished Odd Apocalypse by Dean Koontz (volume 5 in the Odd Thomas saga)

One of my favorite novels. The most interesting character, in my view, is Marius’s grandfather, who is always left out of the movie adaptations. All the ones I’ve seen, anyway.
Marius grandfather was used in a 1970’s version of Les Miserables with Anthony Perkins as Javert.

He was also briefly seen in the film version of the musical

I’m currently reading Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein: Prodigal Son by Dean Koontz and Kevin J. Anderson. It’s a very different read than the Odd Thomas books!

Good different or bad different?

Just finished:
Romano Guardini’s “Learning the Virtues that Lead You to God”

I don’t know how to put it into words other than this is a wonderfully profound book that goes right to the heart of our relationship with God and others.
If I had to keep just 3 books, this would be one of them.

Currently;
Redemptoris Mater JP2

I’m in a WW2 series at the moment, but taking a brief break to read One Year After, a thriller about life in Appalachia a year after an EMP burst wipes out modern technology in the US.

It’s getting to be Christmas which means:

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.

I’ve loved watching the Lord of the Rings movies around Christmas time. So I usually read The Hobbit beforehand. I’m trying to convince my oldest to read it (he started once but had to move on to something else for school) and then he and I can watch the movies together.

“Between You & Me: Confessions of a Comma Queen,” by Mary Norris

Mary Norris has had a long career as a copy editor at the New Yorker. She knows her commas. And she prefers No. 1 pencils.

Hi all! None at the moment.
However, I am beginning to get into reading the Bible!
Also, I am ordering a few books from the Shop.
I have:

How to read the Bible everyday
and a few other small things in my shopping cart.

Other things on my wishlist are:

The Protestants dilemma

Hows my list look? Any others you reccomend for a person growing rapdly in thirst for Faith and knowledge and evangelization skills?
Gee, I wish I could buy everything! 😛
