Sounds like a lifetime reading plan!Singing in the Reign: The Psalms and the Liturgy of God’s Kingdom by Michael Barber, The Fulfillment of All Desire: A Guidebook to God Based on the Wisdom of the Saints by Ralph Martin, You Can Understand The Bible by Peter Kreeft, Padre Pio’s Spiritual Direction for Every Day by Gianluigi Pasquale, and The Complete Ante-Nicene & Nicene and Post-Nicene Church Fathers Collection: 3 Series, 37 Volumes, 65 Authors, 1,000 Books, 18,000 Chapters, 16 Million Words by The Church Fathers (which will take forever).
Have you read Joseph Pearce’s works in that area? (Bilbo’s Journey; Tolkien: Man and Myth). He’s one of my very favorite Catholic authors because he takes literature so seriously. It warms the heart of a librarian like myself.Power of the Ring: The Spiritual Vision Behind the Lord of the Rings, by Stratford Caldecott. About to start Tolkien’s Unfinished Tales.
