Thanks for letting me know–we may give the Sunday Latin mass a try.

I’m really sad about the other–I just recently found out what the Benedictine arrangement is. Do you know that it mirrors the 7 candlesticks mentioned in the Book of Revelation? I think sometimes people just don’t understand the power of symbols in encouraging the faithful. It seems like Fr. Peek ought to be able to use whatever altar arrangement he wants, but I don’t know what the rules are, as far as obedience to the pastor, etc.

Pray, pray, pray in your beautiful adoration chapel! and don’t underestimate the power of writing to Rome…especially when there may be (I’m pretty sure there are) documents that contradict things like that USCCB statement that keeps appearing in your bulletin. Like, I think under some very limited circumstances national conferences of bishops have magisterial authority, but usually NOT. Only your local ordinary does. I’m not real impressed by the USCCB at all. Perhaps someone can enlighten me more here about this.

I know–just call me an “outside agitator”!

I go to the Vietnamese church down the road. But I’ve been to St. Patrick’s several times. I saw Fr. Hennesey last year or the year before that at the international festival. That’s sad. I was surprised to see the communion rail there last time I went. LOL

Thank you for the information. Would he be giving mass at this location or is he only going to work for the patients?
 
From what I’ve heard, it’s cloistered (sp?), so I don’t think that people are allowed on the inside.
I’m just so glad that Fr. Hennessy is “back” and hopefully, God willing, he will be at a Parish that we can all go to and hear his awesome homilies and be one big family again.
Praise God that good things are starting to happen!
 
I’ve been to St. Monica’s now 3 or 4 times and love the reverence there–okay, there were a few who applauded the choir, but it died down quickly. There’s no loud talking after the dismissal–that just blows me away!

Does anyone know if there are plans for more frequent (like weekly) Eucharistic Adoration? How about ad orientem worship, and please God–I would love to have the option to receive Communion kneeling–perhaps they could put up a prie dieu or two?

Has anyone there heard anything about developments in these areas?
 
I sadly learned today that as of February 1st, 2012 Fr. Hennessy’s faculties had been removed. Do you know anything about this?

Do you know how to get in contact with him? I worked with him for several years and then left overseas and I am back in Atlanta.
 
Yes, sadly…it appears to be true. I was asked to pray for him earlier this week… No details as to why were given, nor did I ask…
 
It seems to me that Fr. Hennessy is still at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He is still listed on the Archdiocese website and there was a news article about a talent show he participated in on 2/16/12.
 
Does anyone know where Father Thomas Hennessy is, or how to get hold of him? He and I served together in the Army and I’ve been looking to contact him for some time. I came across the different discussions on here concerning him and I’m would very much like to hear from him.
