Did you ever complain when President Obama was in office that Saudi Arabia was not designated as a country that repeatedly supported terror, because I presume it wasn’t?Oh, so Trump’s not draining the swamp after all? He’s still wallowing in Obama’s DHS decisions? Your explanation – and Steven Portney’s Tweet – makes Trump’s clearly unconstitutional and pro-Saudi Arabia’s Muslim EO all the more wrong on so many levels.
Was Trump’s pick for the DHS not confirmed yet? I simply can’t see Trump’s DHS pick rubber-stamping Obama’s policies, particularly when those policies still favor Saudi Arabia’s Muslims. Trump’s message to ISIS and Islamic Fundamentalists everywhere: set up shop in Saudi Arabia, and we’ll leave you alone. How is that conclusion in any way inaccurate?
Islamic radicals could gather in any number of countries that is not on the list, like Pakistan or Indonesia. They could even gather in various European countries that they may themselves have infiltrated as refugees and plan to try and come to the USA. But none of these countries are included. I don’t have the incite to know why there were not others included in the list by the Obama administration Department of Homeland Security or why more were not added by the Trump administration / Department of Homeland Security.
It is not clear at all that the executive order is unconstitutional. Was it unconstitutional when the Obama administration blocked all refugees from Iraq for 6 months in 2011?
