Relativism confused as Christianity is gaining Muslims converts.

I think pain of death would be an incentive to me as a child to stay muslim. How about you?

What are you talking about? I never denied the Trinity, nor do I rate a personal attack levied at me. If you can’t contribute to the discussion with charity, for your own good see your way out of it.

He is looking at the vocation of marriage all wrong. He wants his “dream wife” that he feels is statistically harder to find in the Catholic pool of women.

Maybe its worth the time to find the right woman who also shares your love of the Risen Lord? Maybe if the two of you instruct your children in the faith and set an example for them they wont leave the faith?

Oh, that would require some effort! A little elbow grease. This guy wants it to be a given it will all work out without any struggle on his part!

What about him? Is he the “dream husband” for a good orthodox Catholic woman? Or is this all about his fear of getting a bad apple?

I don’t know, did you even read the topic, and realize this is from a guy off a Muslim message board thinking of converting to Islam? I can’t go back and say “hey guy don’t convert to Islam, western Christian women exhibit just as much morality when it comes to chastity as Muslims”. He’ll laugh at me, obviously the guys has come to the conclusion that the Christian west’s morality is hopelessly lost, and I can’t argue that fact. I need another argument to use.

If everyone’s advice is to stick your head in the sand and claim that the wests morality is fine then I really have nothing to say in the topic, there’s no dialoguing with people who refuse to see an obvious truth, and can’t see the actual point of the post.

That women in the west exhibit loose morals of course I do, I’m not certain how someone can not agree with that. Fact is the west is 74% Christian. You shall know them by their fruits. I have no retort, all Christian women I have known were not chaste, it is non-existant in our society. How do I counter this? Our fruit is rotten, how did I explain Catholicism is true?

I’m going to report this and ignore you. Christians do not accuse people of lying with no basis. Grow up if you can’t communicate without throwing tantrums don’t bother, good night! You’ve been on this site for 2 weeks and have nearly 550 posts, maybe it’s time to step away, it’s controlling your life obviously.

Michael, how about the group of guy friends you hang around with…if they are married, were they chaste until then? If single, are they chaste now? Don’t give me a line and tell me “oh we don’t talk about that.” I know better…men talk.

If your friend wants to convert to Islam…tell em to have at it. I would point blank ask him if he is virgin. If he says he won’t tell you…the answer is no, he is not.

No, western men are just as bad probably worse, I say women because I’m a man, so I speak of the opposite sex when it comes to stuff like that.

About the planes no thanks I have 5 years in the Marines and I’m a war vet so I earned my stay. However when I am confronted by a Muslim or a Christian thinking of conversion who looks at our society with all the drugs, alcoholism, pornography, women dressed as sexual objects I have NO retort at all for them. It’s all over t.v. movies, our society is riddled with filth, and our society is made up of 75% Christians, that’s a fact.

We can’t say Christianity built the free west, then divorce ourselves from the negative aspects.
