"ACLU:

There’s no one way to be a man.

Men who get their periods are men.

Men who get pregnant and give birth are men.

Trans and non-binary men belong."
…
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a prominent non-profit organization that fights for what it believes are important issues.

Fair enough. I’m with you on the clickbait, I try to stay away from sites like that no matter what their slant.

In that case, maybe there should be an International Males Day. Since man and male seem to be answers to separate questions, as best I gather from modern usage.

All joking aside, my heart hurts for women who hate their bodies so much

I’ve only known two trans people in real life. One biologically male and the other biologically female. Neither of them hated their bodies…I asked because that was my first thought, too! Both said they didn’t hate their bodies or their biological sex, they just felt is was wrong. A mismatch to what their brain told them they were.

All I can do is accept what they say. Neither of them (as far as I know) have tried to physically transition. They just live their lives as the gender they feel they are. Neither of their lives were easy and both claimed they were much happier now than previously when they were trying to match their biological sex. I just have to take them at their word. I don’t know enough to try and analyze them.

It took me a moment to get it. What they’re saying is that transmen are men.
That is: a woman who declares herself a man is a man even if she’s menstruating and giving birth.

This of course is balderdash, poppycock and piffle.

This scripture comes to mind:

“for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. Instead, they became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened. While claiming to be wise, they became fools”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:21-22‬

What strange places we end up at when we reject God. My heart breaks for those doing irreparable harm to their God-given bodies, misled by such nonsense. Lord, give us eyes to see!

It was yesterday. It’s supported by UNESCO, among others.

Of course it’s baloney. If they were true men (or women), they would introduce themselves as such, not as a trans-(insert pronoun du jour).

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who from earliest life felt wrong in their body.
The ones I met were all later onset dysphoria.

I really have so much trouble with this. How does the ‘brain’ tell you what gender you are? I can’t tell you what it feels like to be my gender. I can only tell you that I feel like me. I know my gender because all I have to do is look in the mirror.

This is why I believe this is really a mental disorder. I’ve heard that some of these folks who suffer from this were helped by very good psychiatric care which, unfortunately, is not always easy to come by and it doesn’t help that the profession indulges the delusion instead of try to treat it.

I told my mother this, who has a degree in biology, and she said “they do, since when”?

You know, I never asked them when it started. One I knew since we were ten (the he to she). We went the same school but really didn’t interact a lot. We were in a play together. He/she was very into theater and performing from a young age. He was never ever a rough and tumble boy but looking back, I don’t recall him being feminine either. Just a sweet kid. I know by his early teen years he became more withdrawn…he didn’t join theater in high school which I did. When he became she I was shocked, confused. It wasn’t until I was about eighteen, just after graduation that we ran into each other doing a community performing arts and we talked and I asked. We didn’t discuss in depth but during that summer we did talk and I learned some of what she went through. I did come to think of him as a her…it took me time as this was my first exposure to gender dysphoria. I didn’t even know it existed until then.

When I asked about hating being male, she just said she never hated it, just always felt it was wrong. I don’t understand it either. I’m female. I’ve always felt ok in my body. I wasn’t a girly girl but I wasn’t masculine nor felt masculine ever. I really can’t imagine being male. I don’t think like men, I think like other women from what I’ve read about how men and women think differently. All I can do is accept it as something I don’t experience. Just like how I don’t experience God or enjoyment of golf or hundreds of other things that some people do and I don’t get why!

The concept of humanity in general is under attack.

You see abortion and euthanasia targeting the most vulnerable of humans.

There seems to be a hatred of humans in general in our current modern philosophy.

I do not fit feminine stereotypes either but I never would volunteer to be a man if such a thing was possible.
