I quite agree, but the use of the word gift in relation to rape in any circumstance is unfortunate.
Some of the most beautiful and uplifting pro-life stories come from women who choose to keep their child after being impregnated from a rape. Gift may not be inappropriate.

There is not establishment…

:rotfl:

Riiiiiiiiiight…

There is no group of power brokers around the country who manipulate the press and political dollars in advertising to ensure that the message that they want to get out, gets out. Ya, its all completely honest and spontaneous!

They dont want this to get away from them…

NBC audiences instructed to be silent!!! during the debates…

thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/24/gingrich-says-he-will-skip-debates-if-audiences-cant-participate/?smid=tw-thecaucus&seid=auto
So, “they” prefer Romney? That’s a myth. Don’t believe in bogeymen.

broadcastingcable.com/article/479522-PEJ_Media_Doubles_Down_on_Gingrich_Coverage.php

According to the latest Project for Excellence in Journalism election report, last week (Jan. 16-22), both of those candidates received a similar volume of coverage and “far more” than any other candidate, which PEJ said represented a big jump for Gingrich from the week before. Before his big win in the South Carolina primary, only 25% of the campaign stories featured Gingrich. Afterward, that figure was over half (57%).

Gingrich has also become the most Googled candidate, both in videos downloaded on YouTube and whose name is searched for most often (as it was for this story).

Romney leads all candidates in the minus column with 35% of his coverage negative to 33% positive, a category he also leads, with the balance of the coverage tabbed “neutral” by PEJ content analysts. Gingrich is at an even 28% positive, 28% negative.

Yep. It’s all them neo-cons!

National Review has blatant Bias. Check out this online poll about the debates last night.

“Putting aside Ron Paul, who won the Tampa debate?”

nationalreview.com/

I even called and talked to the editor about this. He personally admitted that they are biased.

I think it’s a given that all sources are biased. I do my best to ascertain the bias, use multiple sources and figure out reality. I can’t help it if you prefer to be perpetual victims.
That’s true, all sources have some sort of leaning. Yet I would argue that they should at least be fair to some extent. I mean, when it’s so blatant like that, I don’t know how that can be justified.

You can voice your discontent with the source, and perhaps they will make an attempt. In the meantime, be happy they are upfront with their bias. It’s sort of like reading a piece by Lew Rockwell. I know what to expect and it isn’t an unbiased viewpoint.

I’m not going to disagree with you but how do you know he won’t compromise his position in the future?
Because he had a consistent pro life record as governor. I think it is very unlikely he will change.

I agree, but that just means we are naive and ignorant…and of course, we’ve been brainwashed by the media and the “establishment.” With the proper, steady diet of Ron Paul speeches and Lew Rockwell articles, we may be able to learn to think for ourselves. 😛

You left out the articles and postings from CATO Institute, the Mises Institute, the Freeman, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Andrew Napolitano, the Federalist Papers, Reason Magazine, the Acton Institute, Peter Schiff, Gerald Celente, Jim Rogers, Jerry Doyle, Neal Boortz, Mancow Muller among others…but you’re on the right track.

I’ve read many of those. Remarkably, I’ve been able to come to a different conclusion than determining that Ron Paul is my political savior and the only choice to escape the “establishment” bogeyman. _Abyssinia and many other thoughtful people have done the same. We aren’t ignorant, nor naive.

Who says Ron Paul is a political savior? I just find him more palatable than the rest of the field, based on the concepts of liberty and limited government presented by everyone I’ve listed. 🤷

Another Ron Paul supporter on CAF agreed to that description. I believe many of his supporters feel and act that way. You may not, but the rhetoric used to describe those who choose differently certainly leads many to believe that most Ron Paul supporters think of him that way.

While I agree with many of Ron Paul’s views, I think he would be a disaster as president. I hope he doesn’t win the nomination, and I don’t have much reason to doubt that he won’t.

Romney says he would work with the Democrats.

THAT is the John McCain strategy for defeat and disaster.

Meanwhile, the Democrats have pledged to work against any Republican president.

Why on earth would Republican voters seek a nominee who says he will work with the other side.

THAT is what leads to disaster and defeat … that Romney would say a thing like that should automatically disqualify Romney.
Shame on you. Ugly partisanship is poisoning politics and killing our nation. Working with the other party is necessary, or nothing will get done.

If it is true that “the Democrats have pledged to work against any Republican president,” then shame on them. Why does that justify sinking to their level?
Obama advisors admit that Romney would be the weakest Republican nominee. AND that Romney would be the easiest for Obama to defeat.
What garbage. The polls say otherwise. Wake up from your far-right fantasy world so that we can beat Obama.
Sad to say, it is unlikely that gringrich could defeat a sitting president. Strong mind but weak character. At least the republicans are doing better this time around. They fielded weak mind and weak character candidates for the past several elections.
Actually, I liked McCain. Not on everything, but it was nice to find an economic moderate who was pro-life (except on stem cells… but other than that), anti-torture, and in favor of immigration reform. And even if you didn’t like his politics, how you can call him a “weak character candidate” is beyond me… after everything he suffered in service of our country.
And people thought it was a great moment when he turned on the debate moderator for asking him about his ex-wife and her accusations? Newt led the charge against Bill Clinton on (among other things) issues of morality, and he wants a pass? I for one was really turned off by the way Newt deflected the question with his self- righteous anger.
I know. As a presidential candidate, he’s revolting. If he’s the nominee, I will vote third-party.
Could it be that he realizes the lack of economic education of many (most) of our citizens and realize most will not understand the returns? They are blaming Romney for using the tax loopholes that have been created by our Congress. They are turning their anger in the wrong direction.
Exactly. Well said.

Yes, Ron Paul will be getting my vote in the primary, too (my state goes in March, though). I know he won’t win, though.

So then in the general election, I will - hopefully - vote for Romney. If Gingrich is the nominee… I’m voting third-party.
