There are some who have used the Constitutional movement as their avenue to become part of the establishment. Nikki Haley, for example. I simply do not understand why ANY Republican would support a guy who sent 27 of 36 DEMOCRAT judges to the bench in Massachusetts. What is the point of having an opposition party? We need to stop settling for the horrible people that those in positions of power consider “electable”. The only true measure of electability is getting elected, and to get elected a person needs our votes. Make our votes for good candidates and we will get “electable” good candidates.

You haven’t got a clue about the judge appointment process in Massachusetts. The Governor of Massachusetts is not all-powerful and able to appoint whomever he wishes to the bench.There are some who have used the Constitutional movement as their avenue to become part of the establishment. Any Republican can support a guy who did his best to move the judiciary in as conservative direction as he could. Romney supports “strict constructionists” being appointed to the SC.

Good luck winning the election without the support of the GOP establishment. Good luck defending against the Billion dollar war chest without GOP establishment $$'s. That’s 1,000,000,000 Obama has for the poor winner of the GOP nomination. Romney will need every dollar and ounce of support he can get. Neither Gingrich nor Santorum would stand a chance of winning with the deck stacked as it is. I have my doubts with Romney as everyone does but he has the best chance of winning.

You mentioned Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum. Personally, I prefer Ron Paul. With Santorum being a 2nd choice. I don’t believe I will vote for Romney under any circumstances. Still discerning what I’d do if Gingrich is the nominee. It will all be much simpler if everyone else just votes for Ron Paul.

Well, good thing Romney now wants to repeal Obamacare and is pro-life. This Catholic has no problem voting for Romney as he has the best chance to oust the real anti-catholic Obama. Now is not the time for wild accusations and hyperbole for your candidate.
I looked that one up - it is a charge Gingrich made in a rousing, barnstorming campaign speech to a crowd of … fifty people. LOL. Perhaps people no longer want to listen to his rants.
As for the Kosher issue - it was a veto of Medicare coverage for kosher meals for the elderly - guess they have to purchase their own kosher food. I have no idea if its true but even if it is, it pales in comparison to Obama requiring Catholic hospitals to provide contraception and abortificients to people in violation of their conscience. Anyone who would compare what Romney - supposedly - did and what Obama is doing needs to have their head examined.

Is it really so bad to stubbornly support the last decent man in politics? People keep repeating that he has no chance, but that’s not true. He is, in fact, the only candidate who stands a chance at beating Obama. Romney is essentially no different from Obama on the issues that are truly pressing, and so will not sway those independents and swing Democrats. Gingrich has too many skeletons in his closet, and on his front lawn, for that matter (although he would thoroughly trounce Obama in a debate.) And Santorum’s bizarre obsession with eradicating homosexuality and making war on Iran continue to drive his foot deeper and deeper into his mouth.
Paul, on the other hand, has remained consistent throughout his twelve terms in Congress, is as Pro-Life as they get (hell, he’s personally delivered 4,000 babies,) served in the Armed Forces, and the most they could smear him with is some racially questionable material printed in his foundation’s newsletter twenty-five years ago, that he has already addressed and nullified. Yes, he has some radical ideas, but the ones everyone else has aren’t working anyway.
He is a skilled debater, fully capable and armed to take on Obama in debates. The key to getting Obama out of the White House is highlighting his record of destroying and ignoring the Constitution.
He knows what’s going on, just look at this video of an address he made nearly a decade ago.
And then there’s this. Whether you like Tom Woods or not, he makes some cogent points.
Also this. Which pretty much destroys the myth of Ron Paul’s “unelectability.”
So the question isn’t why we stubbornly support a worthy candidate. The question is why are you settling for someone less than worthy.
