Doesn’t look like it to me, but then that is only my opinion. So, all party elders think that way? There are no Tea Party enthusiasts in the “establishment?”

Well, sure. That is because the “establishment” includes anyone the individual using the term wants it to include. That’s what is great about nebulous, bogeyman terms. It’s similar to “neocon.”Doesn’t look like it to me, but then that is only my opinion.
Wow, that is quite a story.A rare True chain email: Story of Romney leading search for biz partner’s teen daughter checks out
“In July 1996, the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain Capital, had disappeared,” the story reads. "She had attended a rave party in New York City and gotten high on ecstasy. Three days later, her distraught father had no idea where she was. Romney took immediate action. He closed down the entire firm and asked all 30 partners and employees to fly to New York to help find Gay’s daughter. Romney set up a command center at the LaGuardia Marriott and hired a private detective firm to assist with the search. He established a toll-free number for tips, coordinating the effort with the NYPD, and went through his Rolodex and called everyone Bain did business with in New York and asked them to help find his friend’s missing daughter. Romney’s accountants at Price Waterhouse Cooper put up posters on street poles, while cashiers at a pharmacy owned by Bain put fliers in the bag of every shopper. Romney and the other Bain employees scoured every part of New York and talked with everyone they could – prostitutes, drug addicts – anyone.
"That day, their hunt made the evening news, which featured photos of the girl and the Bain employees searching for her. As a result, a teenage boy phoned in, asked if there was a reward, and then hung up abruptly. The NYPD traced the call to a home in New Jersey, where they found the girl in the basement, shivering and experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a massive ecstasy dose. Doctors later said the girl might not have survived another day. Romney’s former partner credits Mitt Romney with saving his daughter’s life, saying, ‘It was the most amazing thing, and I’ll never forget this to the day I die.’

Inspiring. Makes me feel a great deal better if he ends up being the nominee. Thanks so much for posting this‘It was the most amazing thing, and I’ll never forget this to the day I die.’

I feel exactly the same way. And if Obama is voted out I will dance an Irish Jig, although a polka would make my parents smile down from heaven.Would absolutely dance for joy if Rick won the nomination. Would be really satisfied with Newt. Would be OK with Romney.
No, see he’s had a change of heart and a conversion on matters that go against the Catholic Faith.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/01/newt-says-mitt-hostile-to-religious-liberty-112839.html
BOOM.
What’s similar between Romneycare and Obamacare?
Both violate Catholic consciences when it comes to contraception.
Where are those Catholics on here supporting Romney? Looks like y’all are gonna have to reconsider really fast.
Oh, btw, Romney also refused Kosher foods to Jewish hospital patients as well. Apparently this saved the hospitals $5 a day. Well, Mitt is a businessman after all… So, this should concern meltzerboy, and maybe one or 2 other Jews on here…
P.S. This is a specific topic about Romney and what he did to Catholics in Massachusetts. This shouldn’t be merged into another Romney thread.
Doesn’t look like it to me, but then that is only my opinion.
There are some who have used the Constitutional movement as their avenue to become part of the establishment. Nikki Haley, for example. I simply do not understand why ANY Republican would support a guy who sent 27 of 36 DEMOCRAT judges to the bench in Massachusetts. What is the point of having an opposition party? Who need a kinder, gentler, slightly less hostile version of Obama? RobNo, see he’s had a change of heart and a conversion on matters that go against the Catholic Faith.
Peace and God bless!
I'm not buying it either. But even HE is not as bad as the man in the WH who has open contempt for Christians. RobNeither is my racist grandfather, but I wouldn’t vote him into office even if it meant beating Obama.I’m not buying it either. Well said.Neither is my racist grandfather, but I wouldn’t vote him into office even if it meant beating Obama.
We need to stop settling for the horrible people that those in positions of power consider “electable”. The only true measure of electability is getting elected, and to get elected a person needs our votes. Make our votes for good candidates and we will get “electable” good candidates.
Peace and God bless!

You haven’t got a clue about the judge appointment process in Massachusetts. The Governor of Massachusetts is not all-powerful and able to appoint whomever he wishes to the bench. There are some who have used the Constitutional movement as their avenue to become part of the establishment. Good luck winning the election without the support of the GOP establishment. Good luck defending against the Billion dollar war chest without GOP establishment $$'s. That’s 1,000,000,000 Obama has for the poor winner of the GOP nomination. Romney will need every dollar and ounce of support he can get. Neither Gingrich nor Santorum would stand a chance of winning with the deck stacked as it is. I have my doubts with Romney as everyone does but he has the best chance of winning. How about the folks who are afraid to nominate a conservative instead of a moderate like McCain and Dole? How about the party elders who would like to forget the Tea Party? I consider those part of the establishment. JMO, of course.
So we should conform our ideas to those of people with more money?Good luck winning the election without the support of the GOP establishment. Well, good thing Romney now wants to repeal Obamacare and is pro-life. This Catholic has no problem voting for Romney as he has the best chance to oust the real anti-catholic Obama. Now is not the time for wild accusations and hyperbole for your candidate.BOOM.Code:[politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/01/newt-says-mitt-hostile-to-religious-liberty-112839.html](http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/01/newt-says-mitt-hostile-to-religious-liberty-112839.html)

I looked that one up - it is a charge Gingrich made in a rousing, barnstorming campaign speech to a crowd of … fifty people. LOL. Perhaps people no longer want to listen to his rants.Oh, btw, Romney also refused Kosher foods to Jewish hospital patients as well. Apparently this saved the hospitals $5 a day. Well, Mitt is a businessman after all… So, this should concern meltzerboy, and maybe one or 2 other Jews on here…
No we should defeat Obama by nominating the candidate with the best chance of winning and that is Romney. So we should conform our ideas to those of people with more money?
Do you care that your stubborn support for Paul - a candidate with no chance - will help the anti-catholic Obama win a 2nd term? Are you looking forward to his continued war on the CAtholic church? Is that worth it to make a point that your guy Paul is the best because he’s the “perfect” candidate ? Did you know that Kathleen Sebelius said in a recent speech to NARAL , “we are at war” ?? Take a guess, Dan Daly, who they are at war with. They are at war with the Catholic Church. You Paul supporters may stay at home on election day, but make no mistake, you are allowing evil to prevail in doing so.You mentioned Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum. Personally, I prefer Ron Paul. With Santorum being a 2nd choice. I don’t believe I will vote for Romney under any circumstances. Still discerning what I’d do if Gingrich is the nominee. It will all be much simpler if everyone else just votes for Ron Paul.![]()
Is it really so bad to stubbornly support the last decent man in politics? People keep repeating that he has no chance, but that’s not true. He is, in fact, the only candidate who stands a chance at beating Obama. Romney is essentially no different from Obama on the issues that are truly pressing, and so will not sway those independents and swing Democrats. Gingrich has too many skeletons in his closet, and on his front lawn, for that matter (although he would thoroughly trounce Obama in a debate.) And Santorum’s bizarre obsession with eradicating homosexuality and making war on Iran continue to drive his foot deeper and deeper into his mouth.Do you care that your stubborn support for Paul - a candidate with no chance - will help the anti-catholic Obama win a 2nd term?
