Interesting that Romney has succeeded in placing his taxes off the table for tonight’s debate by announcing he will release them tomorrow. Tuesday is the State of the Union by the way, if Romney times it right, he won’t be on the front page. Smart moves on his part.

I doubt there is anything in them worth the front page, but if there were the state of the union will be in the back seat, not the taxes.

I’ve written the GOP rebuttal of the State of the Union.

“The State of the Union still sucks and will continue to do so until the current occupant of the White House changes. Thank you.”

Rich, there ARE no usual reasons. Obama has pushed through requiring Catholic agencies having to provide free birth control and the morning after pill beginning next year. He is pro-abortion. There is no usual reasons to vote against a pro-life Catholic and for a pro-abortion President.

Ya, when Obama’s surrogate, the so-called Catholic Kathleen Sebellius, announced that all healthcare organizations, even religiously sponsored ones, will have to comply with this contraception and abortifacient order regardless of relgious conviction, it affirmed to me the the Democrat Party is irretreivably lost and unsupportable from a Catholic perspective. They are not the champions of the poor and undertrodden anymore. They are fascistic totalitarians who have no respect for individual liberty or religious rights.

We are speaking of Newt Gingrich, and therein lies my reason for being unable to vote Republican - IF he is the nominee. For all his faults, and I am no Obama booster, he is the only choice I have if Gingrich is the GOP nominee.

He is not your only choice. You could vote for Gingrich. You could vote for a third party candidate. But as a Catholic, supporting Obama with his current positions would be unacceptable and non-negotiable.

Can you imagine the GOP state of the union if they beat Obama?

“Umm, it still sucks just not as bad as it would have if you voted for the last guy. Always remember America, when you promote the lesser of two evils, you still get a Republican.”

Perhaps, but for me, the Republican nominee at least doesn’t violate any of the non negotiables.

Slime mold will only be one term and worsen the case for conservatives and reduced government. We need somebody to pull the country together.
 
As was said about MCain, the Republicans will just have to hold their noses and pick one. The same could be said about the democrats and Obama.

That certainly won’t be Rick Santorum. He is by far the most divisive of the GOP candidates running. The other’s, I don’t know. The seem to toe the GOP hardline enough that they will put off Democrats and some independents. It seems like this country is irreparably splintered into three factions, Hard Left, Hard Right, and Libertarian/Independent, who will offer their support to the prior two, since no-one has come forward as a uniting figure and champions their beliefs.

I was real surprised when I heard that Gringrich defeated Romney in South Carolina.

I’d rather vote for Gringrich, if he can beat Obama.

I am puzzled as to why he is so reluctant in releasing them. We already know:
  1. He’s rich
  2. He didn’t pay very much in taxes
  3. He funneled funds through the Camen Islands (sp?)
  4. He give millions to the LDS church

I will vote for whomever can end the intolerable atrocity of abortion in this country. That certainly will NOT be Obama.

What is going on is that Romney hasn’t made the sale yet. It looks like he doesn’t intend to. Instead he has opted to shoot down all competators. That is an approach I guess. Anyway, as long as there is a viable anti-Romney out there, Romney will poll around 25%

I can’t vote for Obama. He’s made a mess of the economy and he is unrepentant about it. I don’t like his Justice Dept. I don’t like his stance on abortion or the health care mandate.

So, I’ll vote anti-Obama, even if I have to vote for mittens.
