I think little reverse psychology is being played here by the dems proposing Romney, has the best chance in the election to beat Obama, somehow it does not make sense to me but also seems to be working.😃

Should make sense. Romney has consistently polled higher against Obama than any other candidates…in the long run. Off and on maybe Gingrich or Santorum fared better but they all fade and Romney is still standing. They claim Republicans are “unenthusiastic” about Romney. That might be true but we are VERY VERY VERY enthusiastic about getting rid of Obama. In spite of the few purists who claim they will stay home if Romney is the nominee, I think even his critics will pull the lever with plenty of gusto. Anything to unload the debt bomb in wingtips we are currently stuck with.

That the Democrats are the party of the poor and the working man is the biggest bunch of horse snot. Many of the policies they champion actually hurt the poor. Their biggest claim to fame is getting people addicted to other people’s money.
Democrats: Party of the Rich
Code:
*Democrats like to define themselves as the party of poor and middle-income Americans, but a new study says they now represent the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional districts.

In a state-by-state, district-by-district comparison of wealth concentrations based on Internal Revenue Service income data, Michael Franc, vice president of government relations at the Heritage Foundation, found that the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional jurisdictions were represented by Democrats.

He also found that more than half of the wealthiest households were concentrated in the 18 states where Democrats hold both Senate seats.

"If you take the wealthiest one-third of the 435 congressional districts, we found that the Democrats represent about 58 percent of those jurisdictions," Mr. Franc said.

A key measure of each district's wealth was the number of single-filer taxpayers earning more than $100,000 a year and married couples filing jointly who earn more than $200,000 annually, he said.

But in a broader measurement, the study also showed that of the 167 House districts where the median annual income was higher than the national median of $48,201, a slight majority, 84 districts, were represented by Democrats. Median means that half of all income earners make more than that level and half make less.

Mr. Franc's study also showed that contrary to the Democrats' tendency to define Republicans as the party of the rich, "the vast majority of unabashed conservative House members hail from profoundly middle-income districts."

"I just found the pattern across the board to be very interesting. That pattern shows the likelihood of electing a Democrat to the House is very closely correlated with how many wealthy households are in that district," Mr. Franc said in an interview with The Washington Times.*

Wealthy Individuals Voted for Obama: CNN reported about election 2008: “High income voters — those who said they make at least $100,000 a year –went in Obama’s favor, 52 percent to 47 percent.”

Wealthy Counties Voted for Obama: American’s richest county, Loudoun County, Va., voted Obama 54-46, thus being more Democratic than the rest of Va. and the nation (which were both 53% Obama). Fairfax, Va., the nation’s second-wealthiest county, voted 60% Obama.

Wealthy States Voted for Obama: The three wealthiest states — Maryland, Connecticut, and New Jersey, all voted overwhelmingly for Obama.

I hate being right all the time.

I find it quite ironic that some folk can continually stick up for the current president and Democrats when they are against the pipleline and the cost of gas. This hurts the lower and middle class the most, which is their supposed base.
It’s not really their support base anymore.

Hope so Lisa ?

Heres the Problem:The superficial advantages proposed like candy{free stuff}, by the current administration, is hideing much of its intrinsic nature; the evil errors on which it is based. Thus, proposing solutions that Satan would probably promote and jump for joy:onpatrol:

God Bless:)

Sounds more like he’s saying he doesn’t have home field advantage. Doesn’t mean he’s not on their team.
Well if you’re the away team, you’re the opposing team to and not on the home team. I just found it funny though the way it came out.

Obviously, you aren’t a sports fan. He and his opponents are both in the American League. He’s playing them on their home turf, so it’s an away game. It doesn’t mean they are in the National League.

Mitt Romney says he’s playing a bit of an away game in the upcoming southern GOP primaries. That sounds like the Republican frontrunner for the nomination is saying he’s not on their team. :rotfl:

JFK was also somewhat unpopular in the south in 1960 - coming from Massachusetts, like Romney. That is why he picked LBJ as his running mate - to help win the south. The south will vote for Romney - who else will they vote for, Obama?

Exactly. 👍

Actually I am. If my AL Central team is playing the Tigers in Detroit, we are the away team and the Tigers and my team are opponents of each other. Now had the Tigers made the Series last fall vs the Cardinals, I’d have been rooting for the Cards. Actually I was somewhat neutral anyway last fall because “W” used to be an owner of the Rangers. 😃 But I do always root AL in the All Star game. In the WS depending on the team. 😛

Even if the Romney is not the South’s first choice, he will get their support come November.

Not over yet though the south and mid-west will be a completely different story opposed to what we have seen.

“Unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, increased to 9.1 percent in February from 8.6 percent in January. The 0.5-percentage-point increase in February compared with January is the largest such month-to-month change Gallup has recorded in its not-seasonally adjusted measure since December 2010.” - Commentary

Republicans advise Romney to now focus everything on Obama

“The number three Republican in the House, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (D-Calif.), said that to elevate himself Romney needs “a direct interaction with the president,” and to start moving beyond the tit-for-tat engagement with his GOP rivals. “If I was him now I’d focus everything on the president. I’d ignore the others and start to try to find that moment with the president,” said McCarthy, urging Romney to begin a series of major speeches contrasting himself with President Barack Obama.” - Politico

Romney should have a simple message for America: HIRE ME!

At NRO, Rich Lowry suggests a very simple strategy for Romney… “For all Romney’s flaws, there are worse men to make president at a time when the federal government needs to be transformed and the economy made more efficient. In 2008, Obama asked the nation to do itself the favor of allowing him to bestow on it all his history-making grandeur. In 2012, if he gets the chance, Romney should ask the nation something much more basic: “Hire me.””
