Can not a homosexual man who is chaste and continent aspire to the same example as a heterosexual man? I believe such a man can. There’s nothing that makes a heterosexual man superior in that regard.

As it is now, a heterosexual man can be a lustful sinner, confess, be absolved, and aspire to the priesthood. No less should be the homosexual man’s lot if he so desires. I don’t want a heterosexual priest who can’t keep his eyes off women nor a homosexual doing the same towards another man.

Opposite sex attracted and same sex attracted men can both be good priests. I judge the individual without making a blanket condemnation.

showing support for the Faith, by

I think you have a good point. The issue that has caused so much injury and scandal is the abuse of children; not the type of sex attraction. It seems to me that in the public square clerical abuse of children, whether boys or girls, is viewed as atrocious. Sex between consenting adults, however, has not been viewed so negatively by the public. Priests leave the priesthood all the time to marry women. I have never noted public outrage over that.

Because what he says may be important. If he knew to a dead certainty that there was a terrorist atomic bomb set to be detonated in Times Square, NYC, don’t you think that Catholics might just possibly be interested in that?

Watched him at the end signing books, I’m assuming he’s laughing all the way to the bank, serves him well then to hold rallies to spout his unbelief message.

I have an atheist friend, who doesn’t spout his unbelief, in the end he can’t prove the non-existence of God.

One of his comical quotes is** " I’m an atheist thank God "**

Even Richard Dawkins admits that he is rather a sort of partial agnostic, claiming that there is no way to know for certain whether or not God actually exists. He chooses to believe that God doesn’t, but cannot prove it one way or the other.
