Roe v. Wade at 40: Most Oppose Overturning Abortion Decision

I bet at a time in American history if most were polled the majority would of been against overturning slavery, so polls can not be relied upon to reflect human rights issues which need to be changed

I think the poll is giving the wrong impression for 2 reasons
  • Various polls show most people are opposed to abortion for social and economic reasons for abortion, which account for 96% of abortions, but majority polled do not think abortion should be illegal in cases of incest, rape or for the mother’s life. If most think abortion should be legal in those cirumstances, they are not going to be against reversing Roe v wade, but that does not mean that people think abortion should be unrestricted and that the law should not be radically changed
  • Pew says the majority of 18 to 29 year olds do not know what issue Roe v Wade dealt with, so if people do not know they are most likely going to vote no
Majority of pro choice people polled by Gallup, share with majority of pro life people, support for multiple abortion restrictions

Thomas Reuters poll said 46% of people said abortion laws should be stricter and 48% of people said abortion should be against the law in most or all cases
 
An important number:

47% of those polled stated that abortion is morally wrong.

Personally, I think that is HUGE!
 
Abortion clinics have shut down left and right, even with the left wing pushing this genocide on the USA.
 
Abortion would be illegal in a lot of states without federal intervention.

Blue Democrat States as has been shown in the past, like California and New York have very high abortion rates.

Let’s see how that poll looks without the ultra liberal areas of the country.

40% say “it depends on the situation” So PP is being very clever 'drop the pro-choice label because it has become to easy to make this about clear sides and make it like slime, hard to grasp! very clever. So how does the anti-abortion/pro-lifer argue against that because PP has cleverly locked onto the ‘don’t judge me’ mentality that is even pervasive amongst Christians and is Satan’s lie.

Interestingly I just heard on the radio that CA is now going to bring some kind of ‘nurture the child’ campaign because all of a sudden they have realized that this generation will have to bear the tax burden 2 x as much as that of the 80s because they are not reproducing enough.

Gee, that’s the same argument that is used about polls showing people against gay marriage!

Didn’t New York legalise abortion before Roe V. Wade. I remember reading that New York and Hawaii first legalised abortion in 1970. 😦

I figured something was going on over there. My niece, who lives in CA, is expecting her second next month and everytime she posts her picture on FB, she gets 20-40 likes.

Still, a lot of States, some states it may be said better would not have it legal. So the poll is skewed and balanced towards the big population states. We went through these figures before, abortion in Wyoming seems almost non-existent.

I don’t think so. Abortion is the Slavery issue of our time, the Left and Gay Rights Advocates usually support Genocide. President Obama voted for Infanticide 3 or 4 different times as reported on Sean Hannity yesterday.

Corrupt Marriage Advocates may well support Abortion since they Same Sex Couples can’t reproduce.
