I won’t force single payer health-care onto you.

You can go without health insurance if you wish, just don’t show up at the emergency room or bring your family should you need emergency care.

After all, you don’t want to force your needs onto the rest of us.

BTW, the Bishops have said that health-care is a human right. From what you’re posting, I guess you don’t agree.

Jim
If it doesn’t meet the test of subsidiarity, it’s not acceptable to the Church. Single-payer implies no subsidiarity whatsoever, but a a central budgetary algorithm that will control all the levers of your quality-of-care.

Health-care may be a human right, but so is food. If the gov’t issued a law giving itself complete control of food distribution, is that okay?

Housing is a right too. Water is a right. One could argue that transportation is a right.

What if he wants to pay out of pocket for medical services?

CBO is a bipartisan source. You can not get more objective than that
That does not make them “objective.” The individuals and their agendas and motivations are what they are, regardless of “bipartisanship.” We should beware of investing them with some unwarranted aura of supernatural purity and goodness.

Can you suggest a less partisan, or more objective source, universally accepted by both sides of the aisle?

I can think of none.

There are NO objective sources, in an absolute sense, that I am aware of. I merely say that CBO, for all its being most relatively objective, still falls so short of true objectivity as to be virtually useless.

Which makes this a useless exercise. Adios.

Why are assuming he can’t pay out of pocket for his health care?

I feel the ground rumbling under the graves of our founding fathers. I don’t think they ever envisioned that so many things would suddenly become"rights". What a sad commentary.

Exactly… I don’t want one either… nor do I want obamacare. I want to work and earn my own healthcare… if i chose to purchase it.
But I DON’T want a single payer system. What gives you the right to force me into one?

Obama said he wanted to fundamentally change this country as we know it.Also I saw him being interviewed on a news program before the superbowl, where he stated that (Not verbatum) The founding fathers through their framing of the Constitution, created certian obstacles that have made it difficult for him to implement all of the changes he has in mind. He then stated that he is very persistent, which is why he needs another four years,to get thing done.:eek::eek::eek:

Please, it is now called Obamatax - the Supreme Court says so.

And if we give him four more years, shame on us. I am glad I am not as young as some of you. At least I will have less time to spend in the America that Obama has planned for us. Wake up folks.

I love posts like this, because it shows just how “compassionate” the Left really is.

‘Either you submit to my tyranny or you can die…either you submit to my will or I won’t help you when you are ill.’

The Bishops are right that Healthcare is a human right, however what you Leftists don’t understand, are that rights are right to action…not rewards from other people. No one has a right to take my money just so you can have some…however I do have a right to give you money if you ask for some. Nobody has the right to steal from others to give to others, that’s not a right…that’s theft and I’m sure the Bishops would agree that although healthcare is a human right, just as life is a human right, doesn’t mean other people are have to feed and clothe you, it means you have a right to feed and clothe yourself without anyone trying to stop your progress. Just like you have a right to get healthcare by either through insurance or saving your money without someone stopping you.
Who’s tyranny?

Providing access to health care is tyranny?

Get sick without health insurance and you’ll get first hand experience on what real tyranny is.

As long as we have a for-profit health care system, anyone who doesn’t have health insurance or medicaid, will be given economic euthanasia when they get sick.

Boy is that the truth.

My niece and her husband CHOSE not to buy health insurance a few years back. He is a computer engineer, makes a good living. He was Dx’s with testicular cancer. His treatment cost, over $100,000.00 Rather then be saddled with that debt, they declared bankrupcy, walked away from their home.:mad:Started over in another state, works for a Co. that provides his health insurance.I’d be willing to bet this is not an isolated case.Again, plenty of folks simply choose not to buy insurance, yet they are lumped in with all those who can’t afford it.

IRS collects taxes and 6500 are being employed to collect ObamaTax
I knew it was just a matter of time before Romney’s advisors would persuade him to call the mandate a tax rather than a penalty. He also probably read your posts! LOL

What does this say about Romney’s core? I think he will shift and twist any which way on virtually any issue to increase his election chances. And if he is elected, he will no doubt continue to change his views at every turn. (I know, so has Obama.)
