Print, cut out picture and put on car dashboard. It will keep you company for the many miles before you meet your Mother of the Lamb of God.

This my favorite of all pictures. The first few times I viewed it I cried. I have a 3x5 sitting on my dashboard.

I loved your lamb youtube. There is something sooooo innocent about lambs!

I am trying to find the right web page to give you for my most favorite of all “lamb” pictures and I am having trouble doing it. It is the French painting “innocence” by the artist William Bouguereau. I keep a 3x5 painting on my dashboard. If this site doesn’t work I will try another.

If you can find a good image that you could print out you could have the beautiful picture for your journey…until you join the Mother of the Lamb

(I just tried the website and pressed the first choice. There is a tiny picture along with the definition of innocence. If anyone can find a better picture for Nunsense to copy I would appreciate it.)

I love it. I am going to send it to Ros - she may not have seen it yet. I didn’t realize what beautiful art Bouguereau did - I found a lot of his pictures online and some of them are magnificent! the scourging of Our Lord and the Blessed Virgin with angels - so many religious ones!

Here is a picture that I scanned off a calendar. I sent it to Ros when I found out she likes lambs!

The “shepherd” symbolism and the Mother of the lamb symbolism are two different symbols.

I love your picture of Christ as an adult with the lamb…so tender!

The “Innocence” picture makes me cry!..the beautiful baby boy in one arm and the equally innocent lamb in the other:crying:

Ah yes, but Ros loves them both! Of course He is the Lamb of God, but He is also the Good Shepherd too - and we are His lambs! :love:
 
I just received my packet from rossalind. I need to re-read this and pray about it. As i had stated previously I had been looking for a contemplative order,but who knows maybe this is where God wants me.
I know I won’t have to worry about the community not being faithful to the Church, and this is always a concern even when community looks good on outside. I know it will have a strong formation and prayer life. Adoration and Divine Mercy are 2 things i was looking for. And though I had not been thinking about the active life(although this will be balanced with their prayer life), I so think sisters need to once again witness to the true catholic faith,to both Catholics and non-Catholics.
I am in my 50’s and am a little concerned about the 4:30 rising time and late nights. Although my health is good.
I so feel that the Holy Spirit is behind this community, and will probably be a strong and vibrant community like Mother Angelique’s someday.
Please for me in my discernment.

We can start a new thread with that title to continue this thread which has almost reached its limit.

If three people are in favor I will start the new thread.
 
If this would be a similar thread for those who might be interested in possibly joining her order,and others who are intersted, I am interested.

I think we just heard number two!!

I only have one concern,that being I don’t know how to transfer some of the very important posts from this thread to the new one. We will need all the addresses, the application information, some pictures, the newsletter information, etc. I hope that is possible and someone can help.

I watched Loretta Young on EWTN this afternoon. She played the part of the “sweetest most beautiful nun(sister)”. I loved watching her move through the hospital like a prima ballerina in her habit. She made a habit look more stylish than an evening gown.

I watched Loretta Young last night too. Maybe that’s a sign of some sort. Seriously though, I think I’ll have to begin from the lay person end of things and take it from there. But I still think that the new thread is a great place to start. What you can do is just carry over the most significant parts of this one to that one, addresses, etc, then take it from there.

I received a group email from her today with her schedule but haven’t had a chance to look at it. Quickly, after 3 days away from the computer, I saw that she has options such as at-home formation, lay associates, and…?..what am I forgetting???

This thread will be the continuation of the thread “A new Order of Nuns for ALL AGES”.

Before we lose that thread I hope some of you fans of Rosalind Moss and her new community that she is forming this month in St Louis will go back to that thread and paste any of the posts on this new thread that we don’t want to lose to the archives.

Nunsense, I hope you have packed a laptop for your trip to St Louis so you can continue to keep us up to date. You will be the key member of this club. I don’t want you to be embarrassed by the name of this thread. Since you are one of the four “chosen one’s” we fans will be honored each time you can find the time to post here.

I have faith that I will see them in the streets, the way I sooo many times saw Mother Teresas’ Sisters of Charity in the streets of the Bronx. As a young girl, I was so humbled or maybe embarrased at my self, when I saw them walking in their little sandals during some cruel winters. The sight of a sister in a habbit, immediately reminds us of God, they do not even have to speak. :nun1: :harp:
 
Folks, there was no need to start a new thread. I don’t close threads down until they reach the 1,000 post limit. I may be wrong, but my reading of the thread did not give sufficient reason to start a new topic (thread). I’ve merged the two threads together and ask that you continue posting on the one thread.

I want to apologize to all fans of
“Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope Fan Club”.

Our old stomping grounds will have to do…no new thread is allowed. In my heart this will still be a thread where we can cheer on the new community.

Today’s gospel, Matthew 9:9-13 really hit me today:

Jesus saw a man named Matthew and said, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him.

Does this sound like an example of being “called” and answering the “call”?

Then, it goes on to show Jesus sitting at table with the sinners and being criticized for associating with sinners.

Rosalind’s new community has been called to do exactly that…sit at table with sinners!
