Will they rerun that or have it to download? I missed it, but saw her on the EWTN celebration. It was okay, she didn’t have long to speak. Those show always seem disjointed, because they have a panel and everyone only has a few questions.
It was the first time I saw her in a habit though…seemed weird at first, but very nice. : )

Rosalind’s comment was most revealing regarding her
“postulant’s garb”. She stated that they are not yet erected as a public association of the faithful. They are “ladies” in waiting until the new Archbishop comes.
Please keep on praying for them and the new archbishop - that as she said on Catholic Radio - that “they will please him and God”. May God give her and the other two women great graces of perseverance. And most especially a desire to do God’s will above everything else.

Personally, I liked their habit. It’s lovely. I’ll be keeping them in my prayers. Also, I think I might just e-mail her really soon. I’d like to know what she would have to say to me. I keep putting it off, but I’m going to try for sure within the next few days or so.

👍 So glad to hear there will be an encore showing. I was only able to hear parts of Sister’s speech from a radio since I was out of town. Now I’ll be able to tape it to make sure I don’t miss seeing her lovely “garb”. For those who don’t have recorders, another reminder would be appreciated either late Friday or early Saturday morning.

Sister is not wearing her Habit. She is wearing only their postulancy clothing. They cannot wear their Habit until they have the approval of their new Archbishop.

These two blog sites have a picture of Sr Rosalind in their new postulancy garb (same picture). Again, this is NOT the Habit that her order will wear.

I was careful to use the word “garb” rather than habit because I am aware they are not wearing their habits yet. The point of my post was to say I am looking forward to seeing “Sister” Rosalind wearing a “garb” rather than the elegant suits she usually wears. I am glad she is wearing a postulant’s garb because that way we can “watch her grow into her official habit.” We have been cheering her on since February and I don’t want to miss any of her milestones. Somehow watching her move around in her new garb on TV will give us that experience.

Radio alert!

Rosalind will be on Catholic Answers radio show at 4:00 pacific time today…Wednesday the 15th.

For up to the minute news about her community the radio show is the best source.

Also, don’t forget Saturday to watch Sister Rosalind in her postulant’s garb on EWTN tv.

HI, Don’t know if these pics were linked before:
romeofthewest.com/2008/09/holy-hour-for-new-religious-order.html
Got them actually looking for a different order.
Thank you for the pictures and the blog following the pictures. If you read the blog there is a poor misinformed gal/guy (blog name is PUMA) who doesn’t understand the reason for nuns/sisters. This representation of ignorance is all the more reason that Sister Rosalind’s community is necessary.

Today is the day:

EWTN

Rosalind givies her talk on her call to conversion. I am looking forward to it.

EWTN TV 2:00pm ET 11:00am PT

She’s on EWTN right now.

She looks so holy and happy. God bless her and her vocation!

What do Dolores Hart and Rosalind Moss have in common?

For starters, they are close in age…about a 4 year difference in age.

They are both converts to Catholicism.

Dolores Hart will be the guest on Father Groschel’s Sunday Night Live show this coming Sunday (4:00 pm Pacific)

If you watch the show maybe you can come up with a few more similarities. This is a MUST WATCH for anyone on the Vocations Forum.

:yeah_me: 🍿

Greetings ladies,

I am so excited for Rosiland, and for the others. Oh I can imagine how they must feel..................anyway would someone please tell me again, how this happened and what are the requirements for this order? Its been a while since I have been on here. I love keeping up with her and I may want to financially support the ministry. Thanks ahead for the info! may God bless.......it is such a blessing to see that we are understanidng that there is life after 50 and yes even more! Moses was 80? when he went through the dessert with all of those Israelites! Service isnt over because society thinks so!!!!! how awesome is this? God Bless..
Deborah

Maybe she will have a web page one day or a newsletter one day to keep everyone up to date and to give donations.
How old is Rosiland? Delores Hart is about 70, born in 1938 I think.
Rosiland will need money and prayers…God’s grace will carry them far, but like Mother Angelica, she will wonder some days, “what did I do?” and then get the energy to continue. You have a lot of adrenaline in the beginning, the excitement, energy, etc. I have no doubt though, with her spunk and our prayers she will be very successful. It is tiring though. I admire them very much and would like to help too.

There are major differences between Rosalind, Dolores Hart, and Mother Angelica. As far as age is concerned Rosalind is 65 at last count. Mother entered the Poor Clares in her teens/early 20’s.
Dolores Hart entered in her 25th year.

Both Dolores Hart and Mother Angelica entered an already established order. Sister Rosalind’s community will be a Public Association of the Faithful if the new archbishop agrees with erecting them. They are not yet established and that is why Sister Rosalind continues to point out that they are wearing Postulant Garb to distinquish them from a canonical erected Association. Archbishop Burke left St. Louis before he could establish them as a Public Association of the faithful.

An order is one established by Rome and at present there are Benedictines, Franciscans,
Augustinians, Dominicans, Camoldi, etc.

Since Sister is not following an established rule, she will fall under an Institutute of Consecrated Life of Diocesan Rite only if the Archbishop elevates the community to that status. That will only come with time and a stable form of life. Which means more sisters and ones who stay.

It looks romantic from the outside, but living in community is just as difficult as living in a marriage. The one blessing is that you have to work out the life in community quickly because you are praying with one another each day.

As I have said before, please, please pray for her and for God’s will. The new archbishop has no obligation to follow Archbishop Burke’s original plan.
He might not give her approbation and then those who are there would have to return to their former life.

Sister J’s information is very helpful. I agree that it’s exciting that Rosalind is doing what she is doing, and only time will tell if it’s God’s will to move forward. I live in St. Louis and am in my late 40’s. I am interested to see where this goes. How does one express interest in the order?

Those interested in the community can call St. George the Martyr and get the phone number. The sisters are in the convent on their property. I am sure they would welcome a phone call and a follow up visit.

Sister J,

Greetings in the Lord!

Let me say this.......I am sure you are right about the heres and theres of the life of a sister or nun. I come from a LONG LONG line of them! My great great aunts were nuns, my cousins are priest and nuns. Some are very excited about what they do and some are not so.......or it appears so. Personalities are different. Me personally? I am a passionate sort of lady and always have been. It was my desire to serve God in the order of sisters of charity. However I met a boy in high school that changed my mind! However today, 38 yrs of marriage later, I STILL have that passion rise up in me when I think of devotiing my life to God in a community of sisters. Its just like any other family......loving, sharing, forgiving, and being who God called us to be, right? I never ever have thought it was romantic to do so, I just love the Lord so much and I think the apostle Paul probably said it best. My paraphrase, He said it was best to stay single.......as you are able to dedicate your whole heart to the service of the Lord! No divisions, or time spent elsewhere.......not like in a marriage.
anyway just wanted to share my heart Sister. Thanks for the wonderful information.... and I will call and contact them. God Bless you ......
Deborah

That’s wonderful! I don’t get EWTN at home-no cable or satellite, and it’s impossible to get it throught their site. I found her snail mail address through the story that was on the archdiocesan newspaper in St. Louis. I might drop her a line-but I’m sure she is being swamped with messages!

Hello there! And welcome to the forum. I was going to tell you that I don’t get sattelite either, but get cable. However they did away with EWTN here and its very sad. We do have a catholic radio station, so you might try that. If you read through the forums, on her new order, you will find her address, website, and email. I to am discerning a call to religious life. but I feel her order is far to new, and way tooo active:eek: ! I am looking for a more prayer type community, that wears the full habit. If it be modified, it must not show hair (the veil), and the tunic dress, must be long, or mid-length. I did not set these standards for myself, Our Lady and God did when He called my name to follow Him. God Bless you on your journey:thumbsup: JMJ
