Sr. Rosalind spoke at our Diaconal Candidate day of recollection. She is looking at a nursing home building that has been closed for 4 years. There is also an EXCELLENT convent that is way big. It has a beautiful, large, chapel and tons of rooms with AC and everything. But it would be a huge undertaking as it could hold probably three orders of sisters. Let’s continue to pray for Sr. Rosalind’s intentions. We DO need her in the Tulsa Diocese!!!

Where is the nursing home at? I have been looking everywhere in town for a place for her lol and I must have missed that one 😃

I can get a more exact location from our priest, but I’m told its maybe 5 minutes from Sts. Peter and Paul parish… maybe the Mohawk Park area?

👍

A joyful day for Mother Mirriam. May God Bless them all abundantly

Peace
James

YAY TULSA! Thank you Bishop Slattery for giving her the help she needs. 🙂 (I always knew I loved our Bishop :D)
Dear Gatewood,
I don’t understand- you’re Religion is listed as Pagan/Witch and yet you claim to be Catholic? There must be something I’m missing.

Will be seeing her in Lackawana at Our Lady of Victory Oct. 22!🙂
Yes. and for anyone who might be interested in attending the Divine Mercy Conference: Buffalo 2011, here is some information on it:

The conference is being organized by the Marians of the Immaculate Conception. They have, on their website, a recent article which tells some of the background story of Rosalind Moss/Mother Miriam

You are soooo lucky, Shoshana! I live in Central NY State, and I sure wish I could come out to Lackawanna to see Mother Miriam!

Surely, I am blessed! She is not the main speaker though…the author of the book ‘Consoling the Heart of Jesus’ is…and guess what? Gord is supposed to be going also!

Not only that but George Weigle is speaking on his new book on John Paul 2 at Canisius College in Oct! Wow!

And then I have my carmelite formation and meeting also…man oh man…it is a festive month…

Mother Miriam will also be speaking next month in La Crosse, Wisconsin at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She will be participating in the Marian Symposium 2011.

However, last week, during her appearance on the Catholic Answers Live radio show, she stated that after October her public appearances will be sharply reduced as she concentrates on building her new community.

Here is a link to that radio broadcast, if anyone is interested.

She’s quite charming! 🙂

FYI: Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God will be a guest on EWTN Live October 26. Check the listings for times in your area. Yipee!!!:extrahappy:

Just watched it-thanks for the link!

I love Mother Miriam! She is a fast-talking, wise-cracking, on-fire-for-the-Faith lady!

She still has the ways of her Jewish roots!

May her new community grow and flourish!
👍 :extrahappy:
Amen to that…👍

It’s something to hear that “Jewish” cadence and humor coming from inside the habit of a Catholic nun’s habit.

It’s great.

Peace
James

Gatewood, have you left Paganism and come back to the Catholic Church? I pray you have.

I would go to another conference with just her…her sense of humor was out of this world…and yet so holy…

Going back next year…🙂

It’s said that Mother Miriam is going to cut back on her personal appearances in order to concentrate on getting her new community up and running.

That said, I LOVED her appearance on ‘EWTN Live’! 😃 She nearly had me laughing out loud in the bookstore where I was watching it through their YouTube channel. She’s like a Jewish version of Mother Angelica in her prime!

But I had the money, and she was going to be in Lackawanna again, I’d be out there, too!

BTW, Shoshana, I know some of the members of the OCDS group which meets at the Carmel of Buffalo. Is that where you’re doing your aspirancy? Last time I saw any of them was during my last retreat in 1999.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen anyone from the Buffalo OCDS group (my last retreat was in October 1999). The only one I remember at present is a lady whose first name was Gail…last name was a long one beginning with the letter ‘R’. She was working for something called ‘St. Luke’s Mission’.

From October 1999 to January 2000 I had to undergo some very intense evaluations (verbal as well as written) in preparation for my Final Promise in February. I ended up not being accepted for it, and was ‘charitably dismissed’ from the OCDS. My last meeting was in February, when I would have been professed. The spiritual director and the formation director determined that I had no vocation to the OCDS, in spite of coming faithfully to the meetings for six years.

I wish you better luck in getting accepted as a novice, Shoshana! 👍
