I want to thank you all for your continued prayers. I haven’t been on the computer due to weather (thunderstorms), and pain being worse. I’m sure the weather contributes to that also. God is good…I can offer the pain up to Him.

I am leaning about 75% towards having the brain radiation regardless of the outcome of the MRI and CT scan. I feel God is leading me in that direction.

Again, thank you all for the prayers. I know they help me. And I am remembering you all in my prayers each day. God bless you all and keep you in His loving care.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Baptista,

You are in my prayers. I can’t imagine having to make that decision. I watched my father slowly deteriorate from cancer and dementia. I am also afraid of dementia. I forget things, also, from time to time, and have a feeling of dread everytime it happens. Dementia is in both sides of my family. My heart goes out to you. God bless you.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

I’m praying for you Peggy.

Again, thank you all so much. I’ve been feeling depressed the past couple days, but I know prayers will help again. And I ask God to bless all of you.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Let us bless Christ, who gave himself to us as bread coming down from heaven. Let us address our prayers to him:
– Christ, you are food and medicine for the soul, make us strong.

Lord, make us who are fed at the Eucharistic feast
have a full share in the gifts of the Paschal sacrifice.
– Christ, you are food and medicine for the soul, make us strong.

Give us the gift of keeping your word in good and perfect hearts
patiently, until it bears fruit within us.
– Christ, you are food and medicine for the soul, make us strong.

Make us eager to work with you to bring perfect order to the world,
so that your Church may more easily spread your message of peace.
– Christ, you are food and medicine for the soul, make us strong.

We have sinned, Lord, we have sinned:
wipe out our sins with your saving grace.
– Christ, you are food and medicine for the soul, make us strong.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Lord, give us a persevering spirit of service to your will,
so that in our lifetime your people
may grow in number and strength in your service.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

Father in Heaven, we pray that You will lovingly support Peggy as she faces this trial and test of her faith. Graciously provide her with spiritual support and a strong sense of trust in You as she endures her treatment. Lift her spirit with the trustworthy promises You have made through Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask this through the same Christ Jesus, Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Hail Mary,

and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.

Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

May God bless and heal you. In the name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Again, thank you all. Coming to this forum with all of you here is like coming to a dear friend’s home. I cannot say thank you enough for the prayers that have given me strength and hope. God bless and keep all of you.

I am still praying, my friend! You are in my intentions in 8 rosaries daily. God is hearing your name as it rises up before HisThrone!

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help
or sought thy interecesion,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful,
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy
hear and answer me.
Amen,

I have to tell you all that I felt the prayers today. The brain MRI was horrific for me. I have claustrophobia. I have dealt with MRIs before, but always before I knew that I could ‘scoot’ out if something happened to the electricity and the machine wouldn’t work. Well, not with this. I had a device fixed over my face and below the neck and top of head and was fixed in something on the bottom that also had my head and neck held in. To make matters more worrisome we’d had thunderstorms, and the medical center’s lights had flickered that morning. This is a new MRI machine and it needs something else done to it so the flickering won’t affect it. Oy! I did not need to hear that. But praying, ‘walking’ the 23rd Psalm as I do, and knowing you all have been praying helped me so much. And I prayed for all of you while in there.

The CT scan was almost a piece of cake after that. The contrast was painful, as they had to finally settle on a very small vein in my wrist that is very sensitive. I never knew that before about that being sensitive. Again, I prayed and offered it all up.

I will find out the results on Monday when I see the oncologist.

As always I pray God will bless each and every one of you here.

Merciful Father, You graciously accompanied Peggy through this uncomfortable diagnostic procedure. You inspired her to prayer, allowing her faith to replace fear. Lord, we thank You and praise Your Holy Name for Your mercy. We beseech you to continue pouring out Your love upon Peggy, revealing Your mercy to her in those times which lie ahead. Our will is that she be completely recovered and healed. Out of faith, love and obedience, we defer to Your perfect will, O Lord, but continue to pray for her healing and strength. Hear our petitions through Your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
