When Donald Trump was endorsed by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, he repudiated that endorsement (all though some people are still angry because it wasn’t immediate) Bernie Sanders has been endorsed by domestic communist terrorist Bill Ayers, and not only has Sanders failed to repudiate that endorsement (would you really expect a socialist to do that ?) but he said nothing when Ayers was involved in the protests in Chicago that shutdown Trump’s planned rally.

I believe we were talking about Eisenhower-and yes there is fast evidence that there was a communist infiltration of our government
Do you have any evidence that most of the people specifically accused by Joseph McCarthy, as opposed to being implicated by cryptoanalysis and counterintelligence were spies? The claim was not that Soviet spies existed.
Virtually none of the people that McCarthy claimed or alleged were Soviet agents turn up in Venona. He did identify a few small fry who we now know were spies but only a few. And there is little evidence that those he fingered were among the unidentified spies of Venona. Many of his claims were wildly inaccurate; his charges filled with errors of fact, misjudgments of organizations and innuendos disguised as evidence. He failed to recognize or understand the differences among genuine liberals, fellow-traveling liberals, Communist dupes, Communists and spies — distinctions that were important to make. The new information from Russian and American archives does not vindicate McCarthy. He remains a demagogue, whose wild charges actually made the fight against Communist subversion more difficult. Like Gresham’s Law, McCarthy’s allegations marginalized the accurate claims. Because his facts were so often wrong, real spies were able to hide behind the cover of being one of his victims and even persuade well-meaning but naïve people that the who led anti-communist cause was based on inaccuracies and hysteria.

The evidence Is overwhelming that there was a Soviet infiltration of our government

Actually, we are responding to a poster that wants to bring back that HUAC. This is all because of one person at a Sanders rally. Now the question is, should we violate someone’s free speech rights just because we don’t like their viewpoint?
Kinda like people condemning Donald Trump because he was endorsed by a white supremacist organization

That would only be a valid comparison if David Duke had introduced Trump at a campaign rally after giving a Nazi salute.

No, you said McCarthy was vindicated by the Venona Papers. I didn’t ask about spying, but more specifically about McCarthy’s accusations.

I have no problem with people expressing their opinion about the supporter. Where I draw the line is that the government has no business getting involved.

If Sanders ever became president I think he’d be similar to Allende in Chile. He’d occasionally talk like a moderate while his supporters would regularly use violence against anyone who opposed the government.
What a load.

Sanders has never encouraged violence. Not once.

So please, produce your source for this speculation. If you can’t, then you should stop spreading misinformation.

Sanders has never endorsed violence, but it’s uncanny how many disruptive protesters of late make no secret of supporting Bernie.

I notice you didn’t say violent protesters. 🤷 So what’s the point?

People have a right to assemble, that includes protesting, does it not?

Sanders doesn’t have to endorse violence. His supporters already use it, repeatedly. And he’s never condemned it or asked them to stop using violence. Bernie is more than happy to accept the fruits of their violence.

Bernie Sanders has the most violent supporters of any candidate in the primaries for either party and it isn’t even a contest. Here it is from MSNBC
How Bernie Sanders supporters shut down a Donald Trump rally in Chicago msnbc.com/msnbc/how-bernie-sanders-supporters-shut-down-donald-trump-rally-chicago
Also, Tommy DiMassimino, the guy who rushed at Trump in Dayton is a Bernie supporter. The main group that was behind last month's anti-Trump march in NYC, the Cosmopolitan Anti-Fascists, who by the way support smashing those they consider fascists, have featured a number of posts and tweets on there site in support of Bernie Sanders, not to mention that Sanders supporters were involved in protests that turned violent in St Louis and Kansas City.

It’s funny because your statement is spot on if you replace every instance of sanders with trump.
