Sarah Palin to be Named Ambassador to Canada?

Can’t take my eyes off the car wreck government. It shouldn’t be entertaining but it is, love him or hate him, Trump is so unpredictable, I’ve opened a twitter account just so I can read his tweets.

I hope the American people remain resilient and survive unscathed.
 
More fake news…Nobody in the administration has even mentioned Palin as a potential replacement for the Canadian ambassador, nor, to my knowledge as Palin expressed an interest in becoming the ambassador to Canada. I guess leftists just can’t feel good about themselves unless their putting someone else down. Cue the Hillbilly Barbie jokes…:rolleyes:
 
I actually suspect this is just a rumor, and it won’t happen.

I mean, we like Canada. They’re our second-largest trading partner. They’re nice (and I’m married to one of them!). We have no reason to annoy them, and Ms. Palin’s appointment would surely be taken as an insult.

Yeah, she could almost work from home. Mrs Palin has certain skills, but diplomacy does not seem to be one of them.

No thanks. The tone of the board has echoed much of the leftists protesters as of late - angry, bitter, hate-filled and mean. I don’t find people like that funny or amusing, nor do i have any desire to associate with them period. We appear to have nothing in common, and the common thread of religious baptism clearly isn’t enough to tie us. Look around the board. I doubt many people see certain folks on here as anything but hateful and spoiled, so I guess the lines have been drawn.

And frankly, that’s okay. issues are too serious to laugh off and kick back while enjoying a beer with people who display a level of nastiness as is at times exuded. Most of us can pick better allies.

I’m coming to the conclusion that he will do himself in. He is simply lying too often and flying off the handle way too much. There are far too many leaks in his White House; His staffers make him sound like he’s a spoiled child. He is being sued and has only been in office for 3 weeks. Not sure if we will come out unscathed but hopefully we learn a lesson.

Off topic but If Rosie plays Bannon on SNL I think Trump will have a nervous breakdown. I can’t express in words how much I would love to see her play him. I love Rosie.

I actually think that would be a mistake. Satire is one thing, and Trump has to learn to accept it.

But bringing in O’Donnell would add a touch of personal animosity to the whole thing that isn’t necessary.

It’s a free country, though – SNL can do whatever they want.
 
I like palin. It’s a shame she has been reduced to a joke. I think she is ahead of her time. Too bad. Though if trump can be prez. I guess there may be hope…
She has been loyal and supportive of trump in a time when others were not. It’s not surprising if she were rewarded for that. That is how politics works.
I would have liked to see perhaps sec of ed. Or even health and human services. I’d take a federal appointment for a judgeship though…

If Palin is named as Ambassador to Canada, Canada could turn on us and make Justin Bieber the Canadian Ambassador to the US. :ouch:

At some point trump has to realize snl has become a blatant troll.
A tweet of, " I didn’t see it" would be better than the inevitable remark about her appearance.

A judgeship? She isn’t a lawyer. She doesn’t have a law degree.
