Here is something that I typed out from listening to Fr. E. on Relevant Radio this past Tuesday. He was on the Drew Mariani show. You could actually download the show from the audio archives. You have to be registered to do that. Registration is free and so is the audio of the radio show.
A woman called in applauding Fr. E. for saying that he would withhold Communion from Sean. She said that people who are apart from the Church should be denied Communion. She also said that Father was actually showing Sean Mercy. She said either it’s 100% or nothing, black or white. Then Father made it clear that he does not know people’s souls and that he could not refuse anyone Communion just because he has an opinion about a person and then Father said this;
"…in the case of Sean Hannity, he’s a public dissenter from
this and he’s obstinate in it, okay, that’s the classic definition
of heresy. And I have confronted him with it. I tried privately to
confront him with it and he didn’t come back to me and allow
me to have a meeting with him about this and then he himself
invited me on this. He has reaffirmed time and time again that
he’s in public desent against Church teaching. What choice
would I have in a case like that?"
The only choice… to withhold Communion from Sean.
