Hannity eventually targeted Special Counsel Robert Mueller and moved on to the “Mueller crime family.” Hannity called the investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Russia a “witch hunt.”
😂🤣

They’ve got nothing left so they’re going after Sean Hannity.

Sean Hannity is on the air 4 hours a day 5 days a week and has said over and over and over he’s not a journalist.

Most entertainers list their connections. For example, if they are receiving money to hawk a product other than what is advertised. When they don’t, I think they can actually get in trouble from the FCC.

It seems like that is the only requirement to be listened to. Kind of explains Laura Ingraham’s following, too.
Anybody who has ever paid much attention to the conservative 'core" knows they have a strong civil libertarian streak to them except when it comes to “gender politics”. They have always distrusted government. Some Dems and lots of Independents are the same way. Lots of people on the left have always distrusted federal law enforcement, and still do. Civil rights groups distrust FBI hate crime stats, despite increase in reporting — RT USA News

Wariness of government has been part of the American psyche since the beginning, and now and again it gets reinforced. When, as now, one sees high-ups in the FBI referred for prosecution by their own people and when the #1 guy and the #2 guy call each other liars about potentially criminal leaking of classified information, and when politicians get let off the hook before an investigation has practically even begun, then one has good reason to worry about the honesty of that segment of law enforcement.

It’s not just Dershowitz. the majority of Americans now distrust the FBI. Poll reveals public distrust of Mueller probe and FBI

Dershowitz’ view of civil liberties is, or used to be, classical Democrat creed.

He is a defense attorney who sees impropriety in nearly everything done by law enforcement and justice to keep us safe. He has always been more on the fringe, than mainstream.

Prove it. He taught constitutional law at Harvard for years, and has published many scholarly books, and you just dismiss him as a crank. I don’t recall you doing that with Obama who was one of his students.

But I’ll admit, the left in this country has gotten progressively more totalitarian over time. People like Dershowitz, who used to be mainstream Dem are less so now, it seems.

BTW: Thanks for the poll that shows the effectiveness of efforts to undermine LEO in this country.
What’s LEO?

Of course, if I had said Dershowitz is a left-wing crank, you would be defending him. I can’t post anything without you following me around to say I’m wrong. I thought you were going to start stalking Theo instead. You told him you were going to. But come to think of it, you never did say you were going to stop stalking me.

nd you just dismiss him as a crank.
I do not dismiss him as a crank at all. Why do you make up such things?

But having lived and worked in the Boston area for many years that, it was clear in that overwhelmingly a place that is overwhelmingly Democratic, but mostly moderate, Dershowitz is considered to be a far-left liberal who had bitter, epic feuds with the Democratic establishment.

Dershowitz is considered to be a far-left liberal
That, I do not doubt. I always thought him one as well. But that doesn’t mean he’s wrong to say we ought to be concerned when lying and possible political manipulation is going on within the FBI and DOJ.

I didn’t “make up” what you said. That was a reasonable view of your post:
He is a defense attorney who sees impropriety in nearly everything done by law enforcement and justice to keep us safe. He has always been more on the fringe, than mainstream.

That was a reasonable view of your post:
There is no reasonableness whatsoever in any suggesting that I consider him a crank.
I consider him a ground-breaking individual, great legal scholar, scrappy against Democratic establishment, and on the far-left in law and justice issues.

They distrust law enforcement except when they are gunning down black kids
Wow! It’s things like this that ensure the kind of political hostility we have now.
So, you think that politicians should be investigated when there is a possibility of criminal behavior and yet continuously deride the Mueller investigation of the Trump campaign. This certainly convinces me that you like what Dershowitz because it agrees with your politics.
If you paid attention to what I said, you would know that I have opposed all special prosecutor appointments and still do. And I do NOT favor appointing special prosecutors when there is a “possibility” of criminal behavior. Do you favor a special prosecutor for the “possibility” Hillary Clinton broke the law?

Did you like it when Clinton was being harassed in the Whitewater investigation? If you didn’t approve of it, you agreed with Dershowitz in disapproving it.

And yes, probably Dershowitz and I agree politically only on a concern about out-of-control use of criminal law for political ends. And so should you.

I do not favor special prosecutors for Clinton or anyone else. I think they always end up creating miscarriages of justice.

I don’t think Starr ever understood Whitewater. At the time, I had a friend who was the president of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas. He actually did point Starr in the right direction, but Starr still didn’t understand.

I like Dershowitz’ viewpoint regarding special prosecutors, corruption in law enforcement, and Israel. Probably nothing else.

Well, let’s be honest, teaching at Harvard would be enough for most conservatives to dismiss anyone as a crank without a second thought.
Only if they taught liberal studies 🙂
Both liberal and conservative SCOTUS judges virtually all come from Harvard & Yale.

I’m wondering from a lawyer’s point of view, does a claim that someone did something make that person guilty? Like is that guilty until proven innocent? Isn’t that backwards from the way the USA operates? Just asking…

Why are people so fascinated with claims of sexual deviancy is what I would like to know and why are they believing them to be true and wanting them to be true. The fact that James Come y is willing to go on tv as the former director of the FB I and discuss these unverified claims shows his lack of decency and integrity.
👍 and this just gets me… Mr. Comey went to the President with unverified reports KNOWING they were politically funded by opposition persons. Knowing and then the fact that Comey brought it up with DT was leaked to the media and then the media leaked the WHOLE dossier to the public.
Now I don’t care if you are conservative, liberal or liberitarian… That ain’t right… At best that is POLITICAL, which the FBI should NOT be… Agreed???

Just wondering, do you actually know DJT or just the guy painted in liberal media?
