Says the head of the FBI who never conducted an inquiry… at least not official like he would other suspects. And made deals with the Clinton team to let them destroy evidence… and then said she was guilty but no one would prosecute her… Why do we have to rehash this stuff. Just because you guys and gals? didn’t listen? He was testifying under oath.

No, it would have to go all the way to the TOP and No one would want to accuse or charge the President (BO) of the United States with corruption at the highest level…
AND Condi and Colin did not have private servers… everybody had alternate e-mail addresses but they were still on the gov. server…

From what I have heard that is exactly how the FBI works. You make a statement and it turns out to be incorrect… Lying to the FBI==Bingo you go to jail.

When asked if Clinton broke the law, Comey said that his judgment was that there was not enough evidence to “establish beyond a reasonable doubt” that Clinton did so. But Comey also reiterated that he would go as far as to fire someone in the FBI’s employ who handled classified information the way the Clinton team did.

Responding to a rapid-fire series of questions, Comey testified that several Clinton statements on her email server use – including her use of just one device to email – were untrue.
Untrue=not true=lie

You seem to be quibbling over words… what am I saying that is wrong? You can lie to the FBI and nothing happens? Is this NEW procedure?

I am sorry that you would make that accusation against me.
It is interesting that most of the discussion in this forum has been about "perjury traps and the like that presuppose that these laws have no element of scienter or mens rea - that they are more like being charges for giving a wrong answer on an exam. I don’t think that that idea, or its polar opposite - that it is no longer a crime to lying to the FBI - properly characterize out legal system.

And I still don’t see anything about Comey indicated that HRC lied to FBI.

If you forget or make a mistake that is one thing, but if you speak falsely with the deliberate intent to deceive, that is a lie.

Let me ask you this: there are many times here that posters get there facts twisted or remember incorrectly and wind up posting something that is just untrue. I think that it is important to correct the record, lest others make the same mistake: but would you call the offending posters liars?

I wouldn’t. I think it is possible to speak and good faith, but wrongly. I think most everyone has done it. But, that is not lying.

What is strange is that all the people who seem to think that this is obvious never come up with the goods. Do you evidence of Comey saying such a thing: lying to the FBI?

Not always. Sometimes, as in Scooter Libby’s case, you make a statement, they pressure somebody else to say it was incorrect, you go to jail.
