Loving God,

We lift up the intentions of all on this forum for our friend and excellent prayer warrior Jim who has shown so much love and prayed so hard for your people in his life. Lord, we do not understand why you present the opportunities to us for suffering, although we know that you will often bend us, but never break us, as you test and prepare us to carry out our role in your divine plan. Please send your comforting and warm Holy Spirit to be with our brother and grant him and his family courage, strength, strong faith, and hope in You. Please send great wisdom and a caring attitude to all the doctors and medical staff who assist Jim and please heal our brother in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Dear Lord, we accept your will and know you want the best for us, please help our brother with the gift of discernment to hear and understand your call to him and your plan for his life. We hope and pray that a great measure of Jim’s love and caring prayers for your people will be returned to him and contribute to his peace and well being in this life and the next.

Thanks for update, going to a Mission tonite, will remember you while at church. Thank you so much for your continuing prayers for others too, that keeps some of us motivated…Peace!
 
I keep thinking, no, it’s not today which is our Monday, because your Monday comes our tomorrow, because I’m anxious to know how things go, but I guess you won’t know for a few days anyway.

First: Thanks and praise to God in highest heaven! The news is that the cancer is back. It is only at stage one this time, rather than stage 3-4 as it was the first time. This is causing me to amend my life and to break a lifetime of attachment to physical possessions. Only one thing seems important now, and that is the will of God.

Since my cancer is resistant to chemotherapy, I am enrolling in a clinical trial of a new drug which is not a chemotherapy agent. I have yet to recover from the last eight rounds of chemo, and my immune system is at about 25%. So, doctor will try a new drug which has shown promise against other lymphomas. It has a few of chemo’s side effects, but does not cause the extensive toxicity or damage. There is a window of opportunity to test it, and I retain the options I had regarding standard treatment.

Might I ask a few prayers for my wife, who is greatly affected by all of this? I thank each of you for your faithfulness and love and may Christ’s peace and the promise of eternal life remain with all of you! Amen!

I continue to pray for all who are praying for me. I thank the Lord for your faithfulness to prayer.

Oh love, You are in my prayers. Trust God, thats all I can say. My husband had stage 3 going on 4 lymphoma. He has been Cancer free for over 12 years now. I want to hear that from you 12 years from now. So hang in there. God knows best, and he will never give you more than you can handle. You be our next miracle now!
