I continue to pray for all who are praying for me. I thank the Lord for your faithfulness to prayer.

I had my bone marrow aspiration and biopsy yesterday. The new treatment will likely begin sometime next week. I pray that God’s will is done through all of this.

Again, I ask the Lord to bless each of you.

Jim
Thank you for your prayers and blessings.🙂 I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Jim,
I am fasting the entire day tomorrow (Friday) from everything but water. I will offer your well-being along with a specific intention of mine. I know our Dear Lord will hear and answer this petition. You are so brave, Jim. I will also include your wife in my entire day - may it be a day of complete prayer for me. You are such a devoted son of our dear Jesus.

Blessings,
Judi

God bless all of you who are praying! By the Holy Spirit, I have the opportunity to attend a silent, preached retreat, given by the priest who was formerly at our parish. It will be held at our Diocese retreat center. A fellow parishioner who just had surgery offered me his ticket since he cannot attend. This comes at a very good time, as I can surely use time in prayer and meditation. You will all be in my prayers this weekend. May Christ’s peace be with you!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Loving God,

We lift up the intentions of all on this forum for our friend and excellent prayer warrior Jim who has shown so much love and prayed so hard for your people in his life. Lord, we do not understand why you present the opportunities to us for suffering, although we know that you will often bend us, but never break us, as you test and prepare us to carry out our role in your divine plan. Please send your comforting and warm Holy Spirit to be with our brother and grant him and his family courage, strength, strong faith, and hope in You. Please send great wisdom and a caring attitude to all the doctors and medical staff who assist Jim and please heal our brother in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Dear Lord, we accept your will and know you want the best for us, please help our brother with the gift of discernment to hear and understand your call to him and your plan for his life. We hope and pray that a great measure of Jim’s love and caring prayers for your people will be returned to him and contribute to his peace and well being in this life and the next.

Dear Lord, we also lift up a special intention for Jim’s wife Elsa, that she may be courageous, maintain a strong faith and hope in You, and that you would relieve her of stress and anxiety as she places her trust in You during this most challenging time for their family.

Please hear and grant the prayers of your persistent people for our brother Jim and his wife, Elsa.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your chosen people, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Praying very hard for Jim, Elsa and Dani to get through this with flying colors!

Dear Lord I pray for Jim and his wife. May they be completely abandoned to your will, knowing that all things work out for the good for those who love you. Let Jim’s wife know that You want only what is best for both her and her husband, and in Your deep, deep love and mercy you will provide for them completely and will not let one second pass not under your providence and care. Grant Jim’s wife strength to keep serving you and helping her husband during his illness. May she find peace in knowing that You are always, always in control. And I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Jim, I’m praying for you. For you to have great response and strength through this next treatment. God’s will be done above all else. I was listening to the radio today, a gentleman talk about how all we need to do is get up everyday, thanking God, asking God to use us to perform and fulfill His purpose, and His will will prevail, no matter what. His will is always good. It was very comforting to hear that-God never wills something bad. His will, is always for our good. Not sure why we have to suffer physically and otherwise on this earth, but you are a true testament of faith. Thanks for your daily inspiration. Praying continuously for you, Jim.

First: Thanks and praise to God in highest heaven! The news is that the cancer is back. It is only at stage one this time, rather than stage 3-4 as it was the first time. This is causing me to amend my life and to break a lifetime of attachment to physical possessions. Only one thing seems important now, and that is the will of God.

Since my cancer is resistant to chemotherapy, I am enrolling in a clinical trial of a new drug which is not a chemotherapy agent. I have yet to recover from the last eight rounds of chemo, and my immune system is at about 25%. So, doctor will try a new drug which has shown promise against other lymphomas. It has a few of chemo’s side effects, but does not cause the extensive toxicity or damage. There is a window of opportunity to test it, and I retain the options I had regarding standard treatment.

Might I ask a few prayers for my wife, who is greatly affected by all of this? I thank each of you for your faithfulness and love and may Christ’s peace and the promise of eternal life remain with all of you! Amen!

Jim

Oh, Jim. I’m so sorry, and sorry I didn’t see this sooner. The Lord must have wonderful things in store for you. Needless to say, I will be keeping you and Elsa in my prayers.

Dear Lord, help Jim’s wife in this trial she must go through. Let her find comfort in your sufferings for our salvation that reaped great fruit for us. Let her know that You have a plan, and in Your infinite goodness are allowing this illness for the good of both Jim, the one suffering the illness itself, and his wife, and for others - as Jim and his wife’s patient abandonment to Your divine will will bring down many graces for the conversion of souls. Help Jim’s wife to call out to you the moment she is in too much suffering and find solace in knowing You feel her pain and are working in the situation like a surgeon to the benefit of souls. Let her know that the sufferings we bear patiently and lovingly for your sake bring down great blessings for the conversion of souls to the Kingdom. She and Jim will be rewarded in the Kingdom for all they have borne for you by their cooperation with your grace and patiently and lovingly bearing their crosses for you and the salvation of souls. Amen.
