Jim,
As always you remain in my prayers. I will remember you at Mass tomorrow. May God bless you with each new day as a new beginning. I am very grateful for you, dear friend.

Blessings,
Judi

Loving God,

We lift up the intentions of all on this forum for our friend and excellent prayer warrior Jim who has shown so much love and prayed so hard for your people in his life. Please send your comforting and warm Holy Spirit to be with our brother and grant him and his family courage, strength, strong faith, and hope in You. Please send great wisdom and a caring attitude to all the doctors and medical staff who assist Jim and please heal our brother in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. We hope and pray that a great measure of Jim’s love and caring prayers for your people will be returned to him and contribute to his peace and well being in this life and the next.

Dear Lord, we also lift up a special intention for Jim’s wife Elsa, that she may be courageous, maintain a strong faith and hope in You, and that you would relieve her of stress and anxiety as she places her trust in You during this most challenging time for their family.

Please hear and grant the prayers of your persistent people for our brother Jim and his wife, Elsa.

Lord, we are also very thankful that the treatment is going as well as things like this go and our brother is enduring it well.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your chosen people, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Round two begins today. I have been struggling with all of this, which brings en entirely new meaning to Jesus’ agony in the garden. I can draw inspiration from our Savior’s plea that “this chalice might pass me by”. All who struggle in their lives are in the most excellent company here. A blessed and spirit-filled Holy Week to all of you.

Jim

A prayer to help you through it today …

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Jim,

I prayed for you at Mass yesterday immediately after I consumed the Eucharist. I also prayed for all our CAF members, for their intentions: known and unknown.

You are such an inspiration and dear man. Praying for your family as well.

Blessings,
Judi

May the Lord strengthen you and bless your family. I didn’t post but prayed for you last time when I posted my prayer intention. All you prayer warriors are such a blessing!

Continuing thanks to my brothers and sisters who support me with prayer! The retreat was a wonderful experience, with lots of opportunity for prayer and reflection. Father also held a healing service and laid hands on all who presented themselves. There was overnight adoration and we all spent a lot of time before our Lord.

Yesterday, I had round one of the experimental drug. The side effects are much less than standard chemo, but are different as well, so I need to acclimate myself to a new set of effects. God is good, for which I am thankful each day. I take not one breath without his grace. All praise be to God in the highest, and many thanks to all of you, my true brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen! Alleluia!
Jim, thank you for your update wish that my aunt will have strength like yours.
I know I was absent around 6 days ( I was on the retreat too) from this forum but I pray for you and your family always.

Keep courageous and strong, Jim. God is with you. A blessed Holy Week to you too.

Loving God,

We thank for your many blessings and especially for the gift of strong members of our faith community who set an excellent example of what it means to be Your humble servant. Please hear the persistent prayers of your people on behalf of our dear friend of Christ Jim who has endured much suffering and pain in his life. Please bless Jim, bless his wife Elsa, and send your comforting and consoling Holy Spirit to be with them. Please grant Jim the strength and courage to complete his medical treatments and grant his medical care givers wisdom and compassion. Please also let Jim know of Your special love for him as he carries his cross in union with our Lord.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Jim,

Just wanted to let you know that I wrote about you on my blog tonight:

thecatholictruthblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/please-pray-for-jim.html

You have been a true inspiration to me and I wanted to ask for prayers for your healing. I also feel that it will do my readers good to see what it means to accept God’s will. I’ll continue to pray…Thanks for continuing to teach us!

God Bless,
Gary
Thank you and may God bless you, Gary. In my weakness, I am comforted that our Savior also struggled in the garden. I pray for the strength to continue on, even if my destination is my own Golgotha. All praise to the Holy Spirit if anything I have ever uttered had any wisdom or inspirational value in it.

May the Lord bless all prayer warriors who devote time to prayer. Rest assured they are storing up treasure in Heaven! Sing Alleluia to the Lord Who humbled Himself so that the proud might be saved! Rather than dust returning to dust, He came from Heaven, returned to Heaven and awaits us there. Praise God! Our hope remains in Him. Amen!
