Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Loving God,

We thank you for your many blessings and for the grace and healing you have shown our friend Jim to date. We ask for your continued mercy and blessings for our friend and for your comforting and consoling Holy Spirit to be with his wife Elsa as she ministers to him and supports him in these challenges. Our friend Jim is an excellent and caring prayer warrior and we ask that you grant him peace and strength as he continues to endure the trials you have placed in his life. Please grant the entire family courage and strong hope in You, dear Lord.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Once again, a heartfelt thank you for your prayers. Yesterday was a bit rough with side effects. Perhaps the worst was the persistent extremely salty sensation on my tongue, which is one of the side effects of the drug. This made all food taste horrible to the point that I felt like choking when I ate. Water and milk were still OK, but had the same salty sensation. However, the day after treatment is like this, so I can plan ahead and eat more on Monday evenings. Still, I am supported by your prayers and am doing quite well, per my doctor. Thank each of you and may God bless you eternally for your prayers. Amen!

Loving God,

We continue to lift up our intentions for our friend in Christ Jim and his wife Elsa. Please bless them, grant them peace and courage, and have mercy on them, O Lord. We offer the following prayer for our friend Jim.

PRAYER FOR THE PRESENT MOMENT

Dear God,

I spend so much time reliving yesterday
or anticipating tomorrow
that I lose sight of the only time that is really mine,
the present moment.
You give today one moment at a time.
That’s all I have,
all I ever will have.
Give the faith which knows that each moment
contains exactly what is best for me.
Give the hope which trusts You enough
to forget past failings and future trials.
Give the love which makes each moment
an anticipation of eternity with You.
We ask this in the name of Jesus
Who is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Amen.
