Well if you don’t think there are any “whiny men” here why would you feel the need to bring that up? What do you consider a “whiny man?”

I was commenting on Bucket’s post. I agreed with what he said, and figured I’d throw in my 2 cents.

Nothing I said on my post gave you the right to insinuate that I believe anyone should be a punching bag for anyone. You made some very insulting accusations. I love my husband very much. He is in tune with himself and with his emotions, he is sensitive, he is not afraid to cry on my shoulder, but he is strong and he is my rock… and I respect him greatly for that.

This thread is about sexism against men. Not what women find attractive in men. I think there is another thread for that somewhere. Can’t seem to keep a thread going about things that negatively affect men without hearing about what women want / like. Hmm…interesting! As a scientist I may have to draw the conclusion that the 2 are related some how.

However, we must not turn this into some genderpolitic idiocy like what the radical feminists and the homosexualists have done. Otherwise, men’s issues will just be another in a myriad of idiocies within identity politics.

While it is a good thing to show awareness against misandry in society today, the men and women who have allied in the men’s rights movement must not stoop to the level of the radical feminists nor that of the homosexualists.
I do think that the men’s rights movement is a fertile ground for evangelization. There are already Catholics who are rebelling against radical and lesbian feminisms as things stand.

FYI, you saw my posts in the other thread. Does that sound like a guy that hates girls? I don’t even 1 bit. What I do strongly dislike though is women and men that dish it but can’t take it. Many women think everything guys do is sexist. Yet when we make 1 small accusation in the other direct wrath explodes? That really makes a guy wonder what kind of rules have been instituted.

Look at the video I originally linked to. If guys said stuff similar to that about women do you think it would have even gotten published??

Exactly. Men are meant to be the emotionally stronger gender… the rock. There’s nothing more unattractive to me than whiny men. And I don’t mean men who are emotional and have feelings (I like that). I mean men who go around complaining and play the pity victim card all the time. Sooo unattractive on so many levels.

The second post I made on this thread, I asked you to please stop making rash assumptions and accusations.

It seems like you have ignored my request and continue to throw out completely false and unfair accusations at me based on a couple words I say. You have made some horrible assumptions of me simply because I said I think it’s unattractive when men are whinny.

As I was browsing Yahoo News today I stumbled across a video article that is obviously sexist against men. Ali Wentworth, the reporter, says “You’re just disgusting cavemen that have not evolved through evolution the way that women have.”

Needless to say the woman is single yet claims she has lots dates (yeah right). So often we hear ad nauseum about sexism against women but rarely do we ever give men a chance to get out what aggravates us. God made man and woman equal in value but different. That is a good thing and that is what the Church teaches.

We have lots of work like Bs. John PII’s work on “the Feminine Genius” but hear little good about men. I would like to use this forum for men (and women) to air what is good about men and how men face sexism.

We had a forum in the past about men’s rights that got closed so lets try to avoid a repeat of that if possible.

You use every opportunity to put down and disrespect women.

Wow, there’s a lot of testosterone running in this thread. I’ll go on a limb and guess most are single. In a true marriage, the decision to be a stay at home Mom or work is usually made by both partners, at least that’s the way I did it more years ago then I’d like to remember. Some of those “choices” you talk of were made for them by their husbands when they split and can’t be found for child support. Lets face it, there’s sexism on both sides and it varies fro race to race, job to job etc. Just sayin, watch what you wish for because if I were just recently married, I wouldn’t want my wife to have to register for the draft. I know how hard it is to take care of three kids and I wouldn’t have done as good a job as as she did.
Think where women were 50 years ago (I was 17, how old were you) and tell me about all these rights and equality that they had. I think the macho male is a bit afraid that women may finally catch up with us. Seems to me I read somewhere that we were created equal.

Macho has absolutely nothing to do with it. The backlash by men is fundamentally against Feminism. Feminism. You know…that group of people that brought us abortion? The HHS Mandate? Female Priests? Lesbian Nuns? Feminists violate our ‘Male Safe Places’ like our golf courses. Our locker rooms are penetrated by female reporters afte a big televised Football game. (Try the reverse of that one!) Every gym I have ever went to, and there are plenty, each had a Female Only area. Where was ours**- eh wot?

No one here is nay saying good honest Catholic women. Let us draw a clear distinction here. Feminists do not repressent all women. Not by a long shot. Altho they like to think they do.

Let us note also. I really resent the implication that those that stand up for men’s rights too are thought to be unmarried. Sickening. Men are our own worse enemies when we try to right the wrongs of the evils of Feminism.

Sexism, as *perpetrated *by feminists such as ‘Male Shaming tactics’ and the ‘Disposable Male’ and the ultimate gender slur Bio dad instead of Father is just a smattering of that which must be confronted for the good of society.

Playing the victim card doesn’t necessarily mean anybody hates anybody. But if I was reading a thread like this one except it was the other way around, and you were a girl saying all the same things about guys, then yeah. I would absolutely be like “wow… this girl seems to really hate her male counterparts”

I honestly cannot relate to this at all. I see sexism towards women all the time… like for example calling women whores when they sleep with a lot of guys, but calling guys studs when they sleep with a lot of girls. There is a lot of sexism in this world, in both directions. But yes, I think there is over all way more sexism against women than against men. Either way, I don’t like radical feminists who go around whining about men, and I don’t like men who do the same about women. It just makes both parties seem kinda pathetic to me.

Yep, even in cartoons, females are bright and ambitious, and practical. Men are buffoons, sperm donors and get no respect (with apologies to Rodney Dangerfield). The media did a real about face regarding men and women.

Why can’t we all get along? It would totally ruin the fun of creating two warring camps, with women on one side and men on the other, separated by a bottomless pit. And, of course, women are destined to rule… Men, not so much.

The problem isn’t that he was advocating for the rights of men. The problem was that he was giving off a hostile attitude towards women. We picked up on that. Perhaps he didn’t mean to make it come off that way, but he did.

I don’t see any threads here on CAF advocating women’s rights and bashing men in the process.
