From psychology, it is known that there is such a thing as subliminal suggestions which impact upon the deranged more so than the normal person.
Hmmm… this lunatic started his grudge in 2007 against this poor woman.
A reg. independent who didn’t even vote in 2010…
does that sound like a guy who was actively searching for anything Michelle Bachman or Sarah Palin would say or post online before an election?

When he was bursting into laughter in algebra class for no apparent reason… was that Michelle Bachman subliminly telling him a joke?

A clear thinking person would see the rantings of a lunatic… and come to a conclusion that he was crazy, probably hearing voices and committed a terrible crime.

I think irregardless of the motive in this latest Tuscon incident, it probably wouldn’t hurt if the rhetoric the sheriff referred to is tuned down a bit so we don’t have a future incident with a motive related to the rhetoric.
Fair Enough. I basically agree.

But it is STILL Hypocritical of SOME in the Left to criticize SOME the Right for something the Left ALSO Does.

This is Pure Political Opportunism at its Vilest and Most Disgusting. In fact, it goes Beyond that. It is UnAmerican. Take from that what you will.

Maybe “needless suggestion,” but not “needless finding.” I didn’t draw a conclusion. 🙂
Fair Enough. “Needless Suggestion,” then.

Thanks for the “Correction,” Rich. Seriously. 😃

It was still “Needless,” though…🙂

Sure… after 4 days of liberals blaming Sarah Palin, tea party, talk radio and Fox News…
Maybe it isn’t the result of the Tea Party rhetoric, we don’t know yet, but it should be a wakeup call to the Tea Party/conservative crowd that violent inuendo is not an acceptable form of political discourse and could result in trajedies like this. It can’t have people like Sharon Angle running around talking about “second amendment remedies” to dissapointing election results and claim that, after using this language to whip their base into a frenzy, they bear no responsibility when a government official gets blown away. I’m sure you can find plenty of examples of private citizens on the left using this kind of inuendo too but, unlike the Tea Party/conservative crowd, I doubt you can find any example of a leftwing politician going nearly as far.

You folks are perfect in every way; it’s us liberals who are vile salivators, hypocrites, liars and who revel in the misery of others.

Keep feeding those propositions. It’ll go far in making at least me interested in joining conservatives in any common cause. 🤷
No need to get into a hissy fit. The left was caught shamlessly exploiting this tragedy for cheap political gain and we’re merely pointing it out. At the same time, some of those on the left are trying to minimize shamefullness of what the left is doing by wrongly stating, " both sides do it, blah blah blah" . When asked to provide an example to back up this supposed equivalency of both sides… silence. And no one has claimed that the right is “perfect”. Rather, we are pointing out the shameful behavior of the left right now. Is it too much to ask you to provide examples for what you propose to be true? Or are you above that?

I am sure someone will dig up some quote from someone like Fred Phelps and claim that is indicative of all Conservatives.it does appear that the Lefts strategy is backfiring as it become more and more apparent that this guy is apolitical
He doesn’t have to be political to be affected by the “anything goes” atmosphere. Just like kids don’t have to be 21 with valid ID’s to be affected by a permissive attitude to alcohol abuse (and consequently to engage in drinking and driving).

Since there been no evidence that any rhetoric incited increased violence nor has there been any evidence that the rhetoric from either the left or the right is any worse than it has been in the last 250 years this appears to be nothing more than a solution looking for a problem.

Your attempt, again, to target the "Tea Party over the actions of the person who had no connections whatsoever with the tea party or any other political organization is duly noted.

Good post. Iethinks Brother Rich is getting a Tad Defensive about this.👍😛
Its been an interesting few days. . People making the most scurrilous accusations imaginable then assuring us it doesn’t matter because they went to Mass

Oh please.
On October 23, The Scranton Times reported that Rep. Paul Kanjorski, D-Pa., said this about Florida’s new Republican Governor Rick Scott:
“That Scott down there that’s running for governor of Florida,” Mr. Kanjorski said. “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he’s running for governor of Florida. He’s a millionaire and a billionaire. He’s no hero. He’s a ***** crook. It’s just we don’t prosecute big crooks.”

I just want to point out here, on this Dupnik thread, that the Sheriff’s ancestors did him no favors by retaining the surname.

The slavic root of his name is “*****”. In many ways he is living up to his name. His lack of judgment here makes you wonder what sort of investigation his office will conduct.

I’m forced to wonder if you’ve been paying attention the last few years.
I have. Violence against public officials has been almost nonexistent. There is no evidence whatsoever that there had been any increase in violence against public officials in the last several decades. There is also no evidence that the political rhetoric today is any worse than it has been any other time since our country was founded.-In fact it is arguable that political rhetoric is much more tame now than it used to be.

True indeed.

Another Unexpected Irony of this Enormous Tragedy is that Judge Roll (I’m pretty certain) had some Christians among the Tons of Folks that threatened His Life Two Years Ago over his decision to Allow some Illegals to Sue A Rancher.

These “Christians” forgot or did not know that Roll was a Devout Catholic who attended Mass every day of His Life. In fact, He had finished Attending Mass that Saturday when He decided to stop by and say Hello to Rep Geffords at her “CongressMan On Your Corner” event. 😦

So Sad and Tragic in some Many Levels. 🤷
