Chrstians believe Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew . Do u think , Christians should become Jews so that it will strengthen the power of their brethern ? Also , there is a chance that Jesus (pbuh ) will come back as a Jew and he will be happy that his followers have accepted his original religion & helping brothers to built the Temple ???

Brotherly love demands that we lead them to Christ and his Church, not confirm them in their apostate religion. There is only ONE Sacrifice, that of Calvary. Supporting the building of a third temple only shows that we agree with them, we deny the Sacrifice of Jesus, and essentially denies our faith.

Christians cannot support the building of a Jewish temple any more than we help the Muslims in the building of a mosque.

Why would Christians do such a thing? The Jewish Sacrificial System has been replaced and has no power to forgive sins.

That is ofcourse a good question but basically I have concluded that it comes down to :do Christians support freedom of religion?

Do we believe the prophecy that soon people will live to be at least one hundred years of age given in Isaiah 65?

My wife is from Ecuador and she knows perfectly that lots of people from the province of Loja are living to be well over a hundred with essentially an almost zero incidence of cancer or any of the major killers in western society.

Isaiah 66:5,6 states that somehow Messiah will go into the temple and kick out somebody who has kicked out the real servants of God and has taken over there. Until the Jews rebuild their Third Temple complex this verse cannot be literally fulfilled…but the metaphor in this verse is a million times more important than any literal understanding. In my own life I am much like Peter who had to be rebuked by Jesus for valuing the things of man over the things of God. I am guilty of the same thing. My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and I know that I am guided by the Holy Spirit, some, but not enough. I so want Messiah to kick the devil completely out of my head and heart!

If it is any consolation Moshiach.com had a photo of a mother lion who had adopted a gazelle fawn and was raising it. Eventually when she was asleep the fawn was eaten by the male lions who just were not quite ready for the Messianic era yet! I do personally believe that this is a small taste of what is to come.

The Jews have a tradition that Moshiach ben Yosef/Ephrayim will be killed in the eastern gate by Armilos the son of Satan and then a period of intense persecution of Judaism will ensue. This last pogrom or attempted pogrom is predicted to be pretty much the last instance of such a thing ever occurring. This event may correspond with half of the city of Jerusalem being somehow captured by somebody, perhaps armies from the east?!

“A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.” (Isaiah 66:6)

It sounds like 66.6 has a thoroughly positive side for Jews as well as for Christians who are not anti-Semitic!

As a Christian I say YES! We should help our Jewish brethren to rebuild their Third Temple. If we read Romans !!, God HAS NOT rejected the Jews. They are still His chosen people. He may have chastised them, but He has never rejected them!

If we follow the teachings of Jesus and call ourselves Christians, then it is our duty to help our Jewish brethren. No matter your argument(s), it would be wrong to say no!

Supporting the Jewish people to rebuild their Third Temple may be the best way to so profoundly alter the Middle East formula that the Islamic states in possession of most of the worlds’ deserts experience a reformation unlike anything ever seen in history.

Would you be so kind as to point out the contradiction? Paul is saying the same thing Jesus said in Revelation. The Jews aren’t really God’s chosen people any more unless they are “grafted back in” through Faith in Jesus Christ.

Developing faith in Christ Jesus is a process that can take a lot of time. When humans begin to live to at least one hundred years of age then somebody who is Orthodox Jewish may be so moved by the new mentality within Christianity that they begin to research if indeed perhaps Yahushua was indeed somehow a real Passover Lamb.

I went through an off the scale theological crisis back in 1990. I had became an athiest at eight years of age. One evening in 1966 I had heard a hellfire and brimstone sermon by Dr. Billy Graham and about two years later when I was taught evolution I latched onto the theory with enthusiasm. If there is no God then there can’t be a hell, Whew!!! I had had nightmares about some of my family being there because we are not a particularly religious bunch of people!

In 1972 I heard Mr. Garner Ted Armstrong for the first time and I loved his ideas on “soul sleep.” I got right into his church and was quite content there until 1989 when I first ran into an article on the near death experience in Psychology Today. I got all the books I could on the subject and the negative NDE accounts made me realize that Mr. Herbert Armstrongs’ teachings on hell were almost certainly horribly in error!

Instead of getting scared I got furious with God! Not a wise reaction but thankfully our Heavenly Father is merciful and has a sense of humor or I would not be alive to be typing away here!

I used to believe much the same as you on this question. Lately I am going through a time of questioning and fine tuning everything that I believe. The near death experience of Howard Storm presents a convincing argument that maybe the Messianic era is brought in far more gradually than I had previously thought?!

The rebuilding of The Jewish Temple would have no liturgical value due to Christ being the final sacrifice. It would be an establishment of an historical re-enactment society that is meaningless. It would not change The New covenant which has made the old Covenant wiith its temple sacrifices obsolete.

Should we support an obsolete religion when we have the real thing that is relevant today? No way!

Christians should assist The Jews in discovering who The Messiah is.

The rebilding of tthe temple shall probably be the prerequisite for the establishment of the rule of the anti-Christ so absolutely no way should we support it.

Um, that’s not an argument, but a baseless claim. What you’re saying is you’re questioning and fine-tuning your beliefs based on some other guy’s near-death-experience. While I wouldn’t lend a hand or give money to support such a project, I wouldn’t be opposing it either. Models of the Tabernacle and the Temple have been used in the past and present to show Jews how Jesus was fulfilled in those things. And with a new Temple built, Christians would have a Temple to show Jews the same, just like the first Church did. Think the book of Hebrews.
