Christians, on the other hand are, in the Messianic era predicted to be at the least, greater than John the Baptist, who was a type of Elijah.
The Jewish people are the family of Jesus/Yahushua. That statement by Yahushua/Jesus regarding how we treat the least of his brethren has an obvious application to the Jewish people.
I suspect that far more may hinge on our support for the Jewish people than we imagine at this time.
Hi Bpbasilphx: It seems to me that two covenants are at this moment in operation. The Jewish people are part of the first covenant. In the Messianic era the weakest Jew is predicted to be strong like King David.Assuming the Cyrus passage is not prophecying after the fact (which some Biblical scholars claim), it’s already been fulfilled and does not apply.
The sacrifices in the Temple could NEVER take away sin. Why then should it be rebuilt? What function, other than preparing the way for Antichrist, would it have?

(Zechariah 12:8)In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David [shall be] as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

(Luke 7:28)For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

(Matthew 25:40)And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.
