Should Christians assist the Jews to rebuild their Third Temple?

Assuming the Cyrus passage is not prophecying after the fact (which some Biblical scholars claim), it’s already been fulfilled and does not apply.

The sacrifices in the Temple could NEVER take away sin. Why then should it be rebuilt? What function, other than preparing the way for Antichrist, would it have?

Hi Bpbasilphx: It seems to me that two covenants are at this moment in operation. The Jewish people are part of the first covenant. In the Messianic era the weakest Jew is predicted to be strong like King David.
In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David [shall be] as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
(Zechariah 12:8)

Christians, on the other hand are, in the Messianic era predicted to be at the least, greater than John the Baptist, who was a type of Elijah.
For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
(Luke 7:28)

The Jewish people are the family of Jesus/Yahushua. That statement by Yahushua/Jesus regarding how we treat the least of his brethren has an obvious application to the Jewish people.
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.
(Matthew 25:40)

I suspect that far more may hinge on our support for the Jewish people than we imagine at this time.

Just a side thought…

But…after the fall of AntiChrist…would ever Jerusalem be restored as the seat of true faith?..or may be not…Jerusalem was overcome a number of times…

or is the end of the reign of the last AntiChrist…then also the passing of this heaven and earth and Christ’s last judgment?..with a new heaven and new earth…?
Very interesting comments Kathleen!

I read a prophecy from a man in Uganda a few months ago that I will try to dig up because it sure fits with the questions that you are asking.

Politics is the art of the possible. This is not possible. This is asking for a huge clash with 1 billion Muslims. Do we really want that? Wait till I am dead before starting something like this. Wait until my children’s children’s children are dead.
It’s going to happen and it is just a matter of time. Who knows? Maybe it can even be done peacefully…

Janet, I absolutely agree with you. It is going to happen and yes, there truly is a possibility that it may be done peacefully.

Carl Cantrell wrote a fascinating article on why people from essentially every background should support the Jews in this endevor:

The Temple
One of the hottest topics on the planet is whether the Israeli’s or Jews should be given control of the Temple Mount and be permitted to build the third Jewish Temple. I have realized that this discussion is a no brainer and will discuss this from the perspective of the Jews, Biblical Christians, Muslims, Liberal Christians, Atheists, Pagans, and the Occult, including satanists, witches, and those who generally practice Black Magic.
Orthodox Jews And Biblical Christians
It should be obvious that anyone who truly reads and believes the ancient Jewish scriptures often referred to as the Bible or any part of it should believe that the Jewish Temple must be rebuilt. This is because those ancient scriptures make it very clear that the Messiah will come to Jerusalem, take control of the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount, and set up His kingdom. In order for their Messiah to come, the Jews must build the Temple on the Temple Mount with no other structures present.
Only those Jews and Christians who profess a belief in their religion and don’t truly believe or even just doubt the coming of their Messiah should resist the building of the Jewish Temple for fear that they will be proved wrong. Therefore, for either Jews or professing Christians to resist the building of the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount is them saying that they do not really believe what they profess to believe. It shows that their faith is either not real or is very weak.
Most people from other religions don’t realize that the Muslims have a prophesy from Muhammad stating that Jesus will come, not as a Son of God or diety, but as a man, to Jerusalem, seize control of the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount, set up his kingdom, and give the order for all Muslims to kill off all non-Muslims. This is supposed to bring about ever lasting paradise for Islam. In other words, for the Islamic Messiah to come, the Jewish Temple must be built on the Temple Mount with no other structures.
Any and all Muslims who resist the building of the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount are saying, with their actions, that they don’t really believe the prophesy of Muhammad and are calling Muhammad a liar. According to the Koran, any one who claims to be a Muslim but does not believe Muhammad is a hypocrite, is to be put to death, and will burn in Hell.
So why do all the Muslims refuse to give the Temple Mount to Israel and permit Israel to build the Temple in exact opposition to Islamic prophesy? Do they not believe Muhammad and Islam? Do they not believe their Messiah will come? Do they not want their Messiah to come?

If 86% of the Palestinian people are genetically closer to being Jewish than they are to Arabs then we know that the promise given in Ecclesiasticus 48 that the lost tribes of Israel must be restored will apply directly to the Palestinian people.

How many Jews have no genetic link with Israel?. Palestinians have stronger genetic ties than the majority of Jews,

Exactly.

That’s why during the time of Jesus, Judea was full of Palestinian Arabs and there were just a handful of Jews (these few Jews were escaping European persecution but that’s not the fault of Palestinian Arabs). Besides everyone who hasn’t been taken in by the Jewish controlled media and their phony genetic studies knows that the Jews today aren’t really even Jews but descendants of a Turkish tribe (unless were talking about the Jews involvement in the death of Jesus in which case the Jews of today are indeed the Jews at the time of Jesus- by the way this also explains the disproportionate number of Turkish Nobel prize winners).🤷

Romans also says that we are all grafted into the same vine. The dude who wrote that book also said that there is no longer Jew or Gentile. Where does it say that they are still the chosen people?
Hi

I can’t agree with you here: Paul regards here to the Jews and Gentiles that accepted Jesus as their saviour!

So the Jews (who practice Judaism) can’t be meant here! So in fact they ARE still God’s (Jahwe’s) chosen people.

To answer the OP:
Yes, I am also for helping the Jews to rebuild the 3rd temple! They are our brethern.
