Unfortunately, what the Government gives it can also take away. It’s a Machine ⚙️
Indeed. That’s a fact that always matters when talking about things like “single payer healthcare”, etc. Freedom depends upon minimal dependence on government.
As for the woman, recognizing that we can’t care for all of the sick in the world, we can help a few. As I said, she came here the right way.

Well, they’re the ones who decided to suddenly eliminate the program.
So this was never an issue before. They actually had path to citizenship with this situations? When was it removed?

But the question remains: why revoke the privilege under these circumstances?
Who knows. Sounds like the entire arrangement was fragile by its very nature. I guess it’s a chance people take.

And barring some high level intervention she’ll have to leave regardless. Like I said, Canada is a possibility until she can reapply for entry. Hopefully her legal team has some strategy.

Who said there was one? Maybe you should go back and read the articles. You seem to be confusing separate issues.

I think this just happened.

There is a misunderstanding that somehow any stupid thing a law enforcement person does is the fault of legislators, as they write the law. Yet laws are written with the understanding that the enforcement would be done by someone who is capable of judgement. Yes, sometimes laws have to be re-written to stop enforcement that is cruel and inhuman, or that is an egregious exercise of power. That takes time though, and often it is this type of judgement that highlights deficiencies in the law.

We have seen examples of this for the last three years, but with a Republican Senate no change in law will occur anytime soon. It is far easier to change out the executive for one who stops blaming Congress for his decisions and understands that leadership means taking responsibility for one’s own actions, at the very least, especially if he thinks he knows the best laws, and is the smart at legal things.

You need a green card to apply for citizenship. Qualifying for a visa doesn’t automatically mean you qualify for a green card.

But you blamed the administration.

Maybe part of the blame sits with those who have worked hard to undermine our sovereignty. Open borders are expensive. It takes money to care for the children who break our immigration laws, money that could have been spent on this program.

So much for our “pro-life” administration. Kicking out a legal immigrant, who will die because of it.
You blame the administration. That means that this never happened before. Why are you blaming the administration? Was Trump the one who decided to kicked this people out and remove protections that existed already?

  1. Who should be blamed for the elimination of a program, if not the people who eliminated it?
  2. You’re the one bringing Trump personally into this, not me.

I did not, the article did, and you blamed the “pro-life” administration. To which I was open ears, until you left me hanging. Now I am not so sure what you mean at all.

They need to fix this but I see no evidence that the government understands or even knew of her special condition. Her lawyer has sent a letter to authority trying to change this.

So, it’s rather wrong to blame the “administration” as some seemed to do in this thread without evidence to back it up.

This is probably why these letters are sent out. So, any matters can be ironed out.

If the government reverses their action on this, we really need to remember those who so rashly placed blame on others and really said some very bad things as if this was a done deal. Talk about sinful.

It’s very simple, not complex at all. I have no idea why you’re having trouble understanding. Maybe someone else can help you out

whataboutism deflection again. With an insult as well.
This is a simple question Do you support this?
I support immediate life saving care, but I don’t support providing perpetual care for everyone who shows up illegally.

Our responsibility would be to provide his/her care givers back home with the knowledge to continue perpetual care.
