So anything we find sensual, that feels good, is a sin?
Should we dress in sackcloth and scratchy wool?
Hard, uncomfortable mattresses, or maybe on the floor?
Cold showers and never long hot baths?
Never enjoy that first bite of Tiramisu, so sweet and bitter at the same time, that makes you close your eyes in ecstasy?
I could go on and on, but you get the idea.
I like the feel of the sheets on bare skin, and so buy the high count cotton for this very reason. Haven’t tried satin, but it’s a possibility. I like cuddling with DH skin to skin, I feel much more close to him this way.
The human body is not dirty nor shameful. God made it, after all.
Enjoying it, the way it moves, the way fabrics and air feel on it, is not a sin, and nothing to be ashamed of.
I do believe that people go around looking for sin and ‘thou shalt nots’ where there are none.
