So what should a Catholic reaction to the Alabama abortion ban be?

I agree. If the man refuses or otherwise cannot be the father, some type of mandatory job placement should occur. The location and treatment should be humane.

Also, Scripture strongly suggests that we cannot know when the end will be. Although, with all of the predictions we have come up with, we’re bound to get it right sometime.

Great, so when Christ does come again you can tell him that you thought it was too hard to fight against modern society.

We have been living in the “End Times”, since Christ’s ascension, but wise is he that heeds the signs. There has been an unprecedented increase in knowledge over the last 150 years. The church is about to be judged. The sheep are being divided from the goats. You can clearly see who is with Christ and who is with Satan. It may be many centuries yet, but time is speeding up. Personally, I feel a sense of urgency in telling as many people as possible about Jesus.

We are not to get caught up in trying to save the world. The world is passing away. We are to preach the gospel. People are concerned with trying to restore a Christian culture, but the world has rejected Christ. The world hates God. Focus on spreading the gospel to whomever is open to Jesus. Dust your feet off at the places where he is hated. Try and develop a living, breathing relationship with Jesus while the body has breath.

What we are to do now is spread the gospel through words and deeds. We are not to be so enamoured of the world that we become distracted. The state of humanity has not improved one iota, since Jesus walked the earth. It’s worse and will continue to degenerate, until people wish for death because there is so much evil and suffering. Jesus is clear that this world will not improve. Only his return will shorten those days of woe.

My last word. Peace!

Still, whatever you say, Scripture says we cannot know when the Second Coming will be - and I think banning abortion would be a step in the right direction for saving souls.

They shouldn’t, no. But since men are apparently all up in women’s business I’d like to see Viagra banned, masturbation criminalized, rape elevated to mandatory life imprisonments, mandatory paternal support from conception (and prison if not able to provide)… I mean let’s not spare the boys if we’re going to ruin the girls lives too.

I never predicted a date. I said to watch the signs. Jesus said to watch the signs. The signs will tell you when salvation is near.

Men’s bodies are involved in lots of things like war, for example. Practically 99% of those killed in action are men. Your logic suggests women have no say in such a critical issue as going to war. Obviously false.

Constitutional language of 2nd amendment “keep and bear arms” would arguably exclude nukes since I’m not sure how you bear a nuke

War is not a self contained men’s body issue. You’re comparing apples and napalm. A better comparison would be vasectomy, treatments for testicular cancer, prostate procedures, etc…

And I’m sure the men who wrote that law had in mind every single weapon currently owned by Americans.

Not.

Well I didn’t do it. I’m showing what caused myself to ask this question, in the first place. Encountered this photo on Facebook.

No you already replied “they shouldn’t, no” to my simple question “each gender should have no say in anything involving body of other gender”
