As to the Jesuits…
At the moment, the Jesuits are, as a community of religious, officially in good standing.
They were, for a while, suppressed. They were, for a while, noted for numerous abuses. “Damned Jebbies” was, in the mid 19th century, pretty much an accurate assessment of the status of the Jesuits outside of Poland and the Ukraine…
They since straightened out, the suppression being lifted in the late 19th C… but again, in the mid 20th, started being notable for those members whose theology, ecclesiology, and liturgistics have faltered.
Many Jesuit-run institutions have been noted for no longer teaching the Catholic Truths, and there are a few who clamor publicly for yet another suppression of the Jesuits.
