With Sodom and Gomorrah in danger, Abraham pleaded to God and tried to get him to show mercy, feeling bad for the innocence blood in the city, and yet still couldn’t dispel God’s verdict. And as Christ has said, 'Sodom and Gomorrah would have repented long ago in ash and sackcloth had it have seen what you’ve seen." To me this speaks how mankind has become more enriched with wickedness from the time of those cities days to these times of here and now. Also interesting is how the Lord Christ has accumulated the name that was once Gods, I mean ‘The Lord’ of Abraham was God. But ‘The Lord’ to us Christians is Christ. By Christ’s statement about Sodom and Gomorrah, we see that wickedness is not annihilated, but brought to tribulation and repentance, this is why he is our Lord.
