Just want to offer a word of thanks to everyone on this thread for your continued prayers for my husband and all our husbands (fathers, brothers, dads . . .)

DH and I arranged for a sitter on a WEEKNIGHT to go to the movies together last week. We went to see Fireproof and it was so good! DH was reluctant and even the night of our ‘date’ wanted to back out, but I insisted and we went together.

I bawled thru the whole thing! 3 days later he sent me flowers at work just as a note of appreciation! I NEVER get flowers on my birthday or Anniversary, and here I got ‘em ‘just because.’ And they weren’t just some plain ol’ arrangement or roses, I got Lillies (which are my faves).

And he has been going to mass with us consistently for several weeks now. I was just sure he was going to back out on us last week b/c he wouldn’t get up and said he didn’t feel like it, but at the last minute he got around and went. He still isn’t receiving the sacraments, but I know God is working in his heart.

PRAISE THE LORD!!! Now if I could just allow Him to do some work on me . . .

Lana,

I pray that your daughter is feeling better now!

JLCecilia, that is wonderful news about your husband!!! I pray that all the women in here are graced with such results!!

😃

Ladies, I need prayers and some advice. I found a lot of porn in my husbands web history. And I don’t know how to approach him about it and what actions I should take. This will have been the fourth time I found it. In the past he always told me stories about how he wasn’t really looking up porn and found it on accident. I was willing to believe it a few times, bu this time I looked in the history log and saw specific searches… so I know he is looking for this stuff on purpose now. I don’t know how to handle this situation. Please pray for my husband to get himself out of this dirty mess.

Katie,

sorry to hear this as I know firsthand how crushing it can be to find that…I will pray for both of you.

There are many different ways to react/deal with this, I would talk to a priest if possible to see what he thinks. And pray for God to lead you to the right words as well…in the meantime, I wouldn’t go looking in the history, it has been a struggle for me not to look for those things, but if I don’t look, I don’t know. I’m not saying you don’t have a right to know, but I heard once that if a man is doing this in private and it is not accessable by your children, than his problem is between him and God…I hope I don’t sound like I don’t think it is a big deal, I think it is, but this is just how I have dealt with my own situation. I hope you are able to get some sagely advice from the other ladies here and also from a priest.

Saint Monica, please pray for all of us wives here, that our hearts will be protected by the Holy Spirit when we are otherwise hurt by the ones we love.

:signofcross:

Praying for all on this thread.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

St Monica pray for us.

Lana, your son was beautiful. Sending prayers

Those types of websites are notorious for infecting your PC with viruses. Don’t know how tech-y you are but if you know how to change the security settings on your web browser, those sites should be blocked, not only for your husband’s spiritual health but for your computer’s technical health! 🙂

My oldest daughter Amber is strugaling with high temp (103.6 now)…might be Bronchitus again…please pray for her chills, they are near driving her crazy…boiling, with icicles for feet.

Just awaiting the motrin to take effect…

Lana
Sorry i never got back. Sunday evening Amber was rushed to hospital with a super fever of 105.6, headaches, dizzy spells and a lingering cough for a few days. We were going to take her to the pediatrician come morning untill we checked her temp and ran.

We just got let loose from hospital a few hours ago (Wed. Evening) Seems the xrayed her, and seen phnemonia clearly on left side… She was also experiencing flu, and asthma attacks we were not aware of.

They put her on IV antibiotis, and brought the temp down, and then by morning seen her own pediatrician who promptly admitted her, with quarinteen. Did nose and throat swab, blood work, and she was so terrified of the IV…but resigned to understanding the dangers, and was brave.

So last night, i was in emerg with the starting difficulties of the same, and get home to shawny feeling just a speck better than me…sigh.

Tree is up, as we were in the process of putting it up before we took off to the hospital.

So the slow train will be bringing christmas this year…and i am ok with that.

Lana

Lana I hope that Amber is recovering well…I hope the asthma is only temporary. Please God she’ll be well for Christmas.

Praying for you too, Katie.
God bless you all

Jesus please have compassion on our posters and their families. Help them in all their needs.
St Monica please intercede for us all

Amber is doing so much better as of today.
Thank you for your prayers…
Rob is still taking his meds, and is pleasant.
Thank you for your prayers…
The tree is up and decorated finally.
Thank you for your prayers…
The few gifts we could afford are bought.
Thank you for your prayers…

All that is left for this season is stocking stuffers, groceries and a Job for DH. The company he was supposed to be working for starting next week, the bank took over…hence no job.

So once again, i ask the amazing women here to keep me in your prayers!

God bless! You are in mine.

Lana

Back from Dr with DH…BP is under controle

115/76…there is a possibility he may not have
to stay on the meds permanantly!

And he agreed to stay on the antidepresants.
Life here has never been so stress free
between different family members.

amen…

Rammy,
Happy to hear a little bit of good news from you! Praise God. As for me, ladies, I need prayers REALLY BAD! DH is going “home” to be with his family because I am too much stress for him due my illnesses. The kids and I are very sad and mad at the same time. I depend on him (dh) for many things. Just as he still depends on me. He has not done one thing during this holiday season. He’s usually busy putting up all kinds of Christmas lights and didn’t put any this year. Very unusual. He hasn’t offered to help with the shopping - nothing. I’m hoping there is not another woman or the same woman in the picture again. I know he is worried about his job, too. Please pray that Our Lady will help me show some joy this Christmas. I am so unhappy I could just bawl my bloody eyes out! Praying for all you ladies as well! God bless us all.

Love,
Judi

M4T,

praying for you!! I’m so sorry, I pray that you and your children will still have a joyfilled, peaceful Christmas!

Praying for all here and wanted to drop a quick line to say:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

❤️ :harp: :blessyou:

URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED!

I’m back to ask all of you wonderful pray-ers to offer some big time prayers for my best friends grandson. I don’t remember if I shared with you about this friend, but I just found her again after losing track for almost seven years. I got this e-mail from her today and I know the more we storm heaven the better!

Here is the e-mail I received:
Earlier today my grandson, Dallas Jr., accidentally drank drain cleaner. His parents thought that he was in bed taking a nap. They were busy trying to get the drain in their kitchen to work. They had measured the drain cleaner into a glass, and DJ came in looking for something to drink and saw the glass with clear liquid in it and thought that it was water. He took a small sip, and it burned his mouth and he spit it out. Too late, the damage had been done.

His lips, gums, and tongue were seriously burned, but the damage to his throat was unclear. He was Life-flighted from Ogden to Primary Children’s Hospital, where they did a scope to see the damage. His esophagus and down into his stomach were black, instead of the nice healthy pink we all were expecting. Even the doctors were surprised that the damage was so severe as he had no signs at the back of his tongue or the top of his throat. He is now in a drug induced coma. They have him on a ventilator and immobile so that he doesn’t move and rupture the esophagus. They are keeping a close watch on him for signs of infection. He will spend weeks and maybe months in the hospital recovering from this. I hope that all of you out there take not to NEVER place any type of cleaner into a glass. It is too easy for someone to think it is only water and drink it. It doesn’t take much-only 1/8 of a teaspoon is what they estimate that he had in his mouth-to do a lot of damage.

I ask that you all say a prayer for my grandson, my daughter, and her family. This is a hard blow with Christmas just around the corner. It makes me realize how blessed we really have been. God bless each of you and may you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will keep you all posted. Thank you!
Diane
Thank you so much for offering up DJ in your prayers and along with your other intentions.

I will be praying for all of you in this thread, particularly the little boy who drank drain cleaner. So sad. :crossrc:

On to some happy news… Mr. SJG, the Skeptical Atheist Poster Boy, actually went to Mass with me last night!!! I didn’t even ask him to come!! He asked if I was going to Mass on Christmas Eve, and I said I was.

He said, “Would you like it if I came with you?”

My face looked sort of like this: :bigyikes:

After recovering from shock, I said that it’d be nice if he came but if he’d rather do something else he shouldn’t feel pressured.

He had a heck of a lot of skeptical questions afterwards (which I answered to the best of my ability) and spent most of Mass fidgeting, but heck, he came and that’s the best Christmas present I could ask for.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!

Lamb Serenade praying for your best friend’s grandson. This is horrifying. Please God Dallas will recover, and please God he will have quality of life as he recovers

Well ladies - we made it through another Christmas! Now we just have to get through the days in between Christmas and New Year’s. I know for many of you it a great time of celebration and love. For others, it is not so. For those of us who have had a difficult time (including me - many tears have been shed), I pray that our upcoming year will bring us only good things - and loving husbands. I pray that Our Lady will give us comfort and relief from our hardships.

You are ALL in my prayers. BTW - this is the first year in my life I didn’t make it to Mass 😦

Love,
Judi

God, please hold the little boy who needs you right now, as he recovers…then send a troup of angels to help his parents and family as they watch him in pain.

Our families are all in my prayers, and with great big arms of a wonderful angel…please hold our Judi in your arms. Sometimes we are not able to see past the pain to recover or get stronger. So please hold her tight, and comfort her heart, and if anything can be changed, please do this for her. If this is not meant to change, please God, do one thing, releave the pressure valve of pain she is feeling. Fill her with your presence, and hold her tight.

For this i ask for her, The Grace To Endure…

Many tasks can be faced, when the feeling of being overwhelmed is taken from us…it is simply like being able to catch our breath. Then we can get a grip, be better people to so many others, including ourselves!

God, For Judi…The Grace To Endure!!!

Love,
Lana

Lana,
You have brought tears to my eyes! You are so kind and loving - only Our Dear Lord could have given you this special grace. Thank you, thank you…for all your prayers and all the suffering you have gone through. I know it has helped many souls - probably mine!

Much love,
