PRAYER TO ST. MONICA

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea for

(Mention your intention here.)

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen.

Praying day 9, the last day, although I may just keep praying this prayer everyday (how about you ladies?).

I was just thinking this morning that I deserve a prize or somethin’ 😉 for sticking with this Novena EVERY DAY! :cool: (j/k)

Somebody else on here (the name is escaping me as I post) is only on day three, so I plan to join her as she completes her Novena as well! Can’t hurt. 👍

I’m with you on continuing with Debbie and anyone else who is still in the novena. 👍 😃
 
Having a bit of a tough time this morning. Yesterday way rough and this morning proved challenging. We woke up late, and DH thought it was appropriate to “entice” me back to bed. I got mad. Then I found out he failed to put his duty weapon (he is a cop) in the gun safe and I confronted him about this. He got mad at me!

Anyway, pray for me everyone. I am being challenged here and trying to pray my way out of my leftover angry feelings. I already told him how his reaction made me feel, so I need to put it behind me now.

In my opinion, it’s okay. It’s your intention that counts. Just keep in your perserverence and God will bless you. God knows your intentions of the heart. When this happens to me (which I try very hard for it not to but when it does) I just pray an extra day to make up. 🙂

Good morning to you too, Belle! Hope everyone is having a blessed day.

Prayers did their work last night. After DH’s session with his counselor his day went down the tubes. By the grace of God he didn’t drink, and this morning he is much better.

Thank you! 😃 He said it went very well and he feels good. They said because they’re switching buildings and then with Christmas and New Year’s, they probably won’t call him for a second interview (if he gets one) until January so that’s annoying, but what can we do? :ehh: We’ll just keep praying, and trust that he’ll end up where God wants him. 👍
