I heard Pelosi say that also, but I think the “squad” got to her and insisted she do as they said. The radical left seems to be driving the Dem train these says. My family who supported Dems all their lives are rolling in the graves about the crisis in the nation. I am proud to say I have been a reformed Dem for many years now. This is not the Democrat party I used to know.
 
Perhaps I do not remember correctly, (do they even teach Civics in schools anymore), the Speaker of the House is elected by members of his/her party. If I misunderstood what you meant by “the voters put her in charge”, I apologize.
 
Of course she was,just as the Dems had been planning to impeachTrump from before the election.LOSERS!!!

Sure. And there are innumerable copies of the Declaration of Independence too, most of them in better condition than the original. That’s not the point. The point is that the tradition is that the copy is signed by the President and put into the National Archives. Substitutes are substitutes. She knew that, and wanted “the future” to know her disdain for Trump even after she’s long dead and gone.

LOL, I hope they pull the pieces out of the trash and reconstruct the pages.
What better way for her pettiness to live on in infamy

Pelosi told reporters that she tore up the speech because “it was a manifesto of untruths.” But she didn’t name them.

A note should accompany the torn pages saying “Torn by the then-speaker of the House, who was so inflamed by partisan rancor that she tore these pages like a petulent child would”

Pelosi tore into the papers a little to see if they would rip underneath the desk right after Trump handed them to her and before even listening or reading the speech. It was clearly her plan all along to rip them up, she’s so full of it.
 
Perhaps underneath the truly insulting remarks about Bill Clinton, Obama, and black people, among others, Rush is really a good person. I don’t know; I do not and cannot judge the heart of other people. But what I have heard come from his mouth is quite offensive to many, and not just liberals. On this basis alone, I really don’t think Rush deserves the award.
 
Opinions differ. I would not have put a few of the recipients on the list, myself, but …opinions differ.
 
Yes, of course. And I’ve already spent too much time on this; what’s done is done. It just struck me as odd that, essentially, a shock jock such as Rush Limbaugh should be honored in this way. The fact he is conservative has nothing to do with it for me.
 
I get your point. He is representative of a particular political perspective not often rewarded.
