Once President Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize for making progressives swoon during speeches, all bets were off for these things.

I realize the left disdain him because he gave voice to
millions of conservatives living in the country and united these conservatives and he educated them about the democrats and their party and when I doubted him after listening to CNN or other liberal
media, Rush always ended up being right. The political insight and foresight he has is astonishing.

He is not a racist or any of the other offensive words
the left calls him.

Umm. She’s from California, a blue state. If she retires, she’ll be replaced by another Democrat.
 
Thanks. I asked a question of course, I didn’t offer opinion. A question we likely all know the answer to. Although not all know what the medal of freedom used to represent.
 
You gave the Rose colored glasses version, but enough to glean that he was a divider of the nation. And the most prominent one for 30 years.
He taught you how to fight people like me and after 30 years of it, necessity required I fight back. It has gotten worse and worse. You refer to me as THE LEFT as if I am from another planet largely due to his influence. That is not consistent with those who received the award previously.

More like, after objective journalism went to PC hell, Rush emerged to give the other side of the story.

…In terms of losing the House and the speaker position. Watching her rip up the speech reminded me of Dukakis in the tank and how that turned out.
 
He’s not a journalist, though. He’s a political pundit and radio personality.
 
Rather opposition to Bill Clinton’s presidency, day in and day out, was how he grew. Every day, relentlessly something to attack the Clinton campaign about always there.

I didn’t say waited 30 years. Objective journalism was there and a daily show he had attacking the sitting president and his wife. Clinton made him rich.
 
Rush was not the originator of that. A generation before him, National Review and the Buckley influence on the New Conservatism, were, as the first issue of the magazine declared, standing across the course of history (as it was trending), saying “Stop”. And prior to Rush there were national radio commentators of various stripes, doing much what Rush did. He brought a certain style and verve to the crusade not seen before. As Buckley did, in his own way, on the fields of ideological strife.

Buckley also got the PMF.
 
Buckley had dialog. Debates. Rush ended opposing viewpoints early on turning his show into a single point of view unchallenged format. Essentially a three hour infomercial for one party

I spotted the Left as mainly alien to this country in the late 60s. When I faced it in the New Left college movement.
