How would of us know if any of these public figures is actually a great Christian? If that is your standard for politics, it remains unmet by every single one, since only God knows that.

Oh no no no, you are NOT comprehending the scale of the problem. They are growing i number Steve Bannon is seen as weak to them. These people are not to be so easily dismissed. They see people like Bannon and Trump as dog food. You REALLY think they support Trump. Oh no, Trump is not ANYWHERE near what they want. He might be crass, but He is not what you imagine him to be. Trump I would rate as the best president in a long time. I have never seen anyone as hated as him(Except Him). People say he is fascist. They could not be more wrong. Listen to me. You DO NOT comprehend these people. Most people don’t. Most people think He is going to gas people. No he is not. He is NOWHERE near as bad as you make him out to be.

Way to go Jeanne! I may not even wait until Ash Wednesday. 😔 There are numerous fiery darts and barbs that flow all too often here, and it causes me to wonder whether those who cast them, ever smile or have a happy day. It is NOT worthwhile discussion, but mostly an opportunity to stomp on anyone who is not on their team.

Kind of reminds me of my husband. He loves football and hated that they made it illegal to celebrate in the end zone or taunt the other team. He thinks it’s all part of the game. In fact, he would support giving extra points to a team that performed an especially good end zone celebration. He’s the same in racquetball. He taunts his opponents and gets in their faces and walks like a rooster pumping out his chest when he wins. They do the same back to him. They are best friends. It’s all part of the fun. I can’t speak for anyone else, but this debate is fun. I would even sit down with my greatest opponents here and have a meal with them. We would probably even laugh a little bit.

Which ones have love in their hearts and which ones do not? I suspect even that answer will yield partisan results.
 
I agree with you 100%. It is easy for me to say really crappy things on here about the President and my fellow posters. I make horrible assumptions about the other side, and they do nobody any good at all. I’ve been trying to refrain from this, but I slip and fall. That’s on me. A break is a good idea and I think I will limit my CAF participation to the positive as best I can. For either side to continually demonize the other isn’t productive.

I’m not a ditto head. Rush has not had much affect on my attitudes toward things. I couldn’t even tell you how much I agree or disagree with him because I rarely listen to him. My relationships with others has little to do with Rush Limbaugh.
