So this is a secular exhibit and folks are getting bent out of shape because having this statue offends their sensibilities? I don’t get it.
Basically, LSN is playing upon the fact that “pagan statues in Rome” is near the front of the mind for many Catholics on the internet these past couple of weeks. When I first saw the headline, it’s what immediately popped into my mind. And since many of us equate “Rome” with “the Vatican” and “the Church”, it grabs our attention.

I have to give credit to LSN for having the headline say “in Rome” rather than “near the Vatican.” 😑

I am Catholic, I stand for and with God. I stand against the devil and his legionne of demons.

When I see demons put up on public display anywhere , I am offended by this blasphemy and sacrilage.

This is the demon of abortions.

I make no apologies for my stand.

Yep. I stand with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ too.

This is an outrage.

Who set up this “secular display”?

Why was it set up at the Colosseum?

Whose idea was it?

Who funded it?

Why this timing?

It is an affront to the ONE true God in three Divine Persons, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Never underestimate the hate that pestilent spirits have for us.
1st PETER 5:8 Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.

It however has nothing to do with the Church . . .
We don’t know if people within the Church were associated with this or not.

It COULD have been a Catholic mayor. Maybe it was a secularist official who dreamed this up on his own.

Who knows?

So in that sphere, I will just concede you that. Even though you MAY be wrong.

But in another sphere, these spiritual battle dimensions, ALWAYS have to do with the Church.

The Church is the principle participant AGAINST this sort of thing in the world.

The fact that it involves the Colosseum only highlights that issue all the more.
EPHESIANS 6:10-18 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; 16 above all taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

This all much ado about nothing.

If you’re having an exhibit on Carthage, from a historical and archeological perspective, moloch is bound to make an appearance. In all seriousness it’s no different than the multitude of Egyptian exhibits that recreate statues of Anubis and Osiris.

Cruciferi . . .
This all much ado about nothing.
You are certainly entitled to think that.

But I am just going to disagree.

So what if it has nothing to do with the church, I don’t see the connection. It is a pagan god, a demon, It is the demon of abortions .
I don’t have to wait for the Vatican to tell me , the Bible tells me that we are not to erect pagan statues.

And think about this. In the Old Testament God wasn’t destroying faithful communities for being faithful to His law and word.
God was destroying places because of the wickedness of people, both pagan and Jew.

Nineveh, that great city, was wicked, God sent a prophet, they listened and repented and turned back to God

Noah, built an ark, God destroyed an entire planet full of flora and fauna because of its wickedness.

Sodom and Gomorrah.

The list goes on. God destroys the wickedness . And we have all been warned.

This is wickedness in the face of the Creator. As are other satanic statues.

Wow! Great post Gift.

We as laity are called to sanctify the temporal order.

That is part of our marching orders.

Brunging the Lordship of Jesus Christ to the world. Not by force (although as in any society, sometimes that is necessary too).

But doing what we can in love. Sharing the Truth of Jesus Christ true God and true Man.

This is part of the Feast that we in the Latin Rite have coming up quickly.

The Feast of the Kingship of Jesus Christ (Christ the King).

It suddenly struck me this morning, God destroys the wickedness of civilization. He warns people to repent first. If they don’t, …tribulation occurs.

God gets angry with this kind of thing in the end and the ramping up of wickedness and does something about it.

WE have had Mary appear at Lourdes, Fatima, at that place near the vatican, at Akita. Warning us.

Consecration to Russia specifically has still not occurred.

That place near the Vatican is experiencing miracles of the sun sometimes on the event of the anniversary of her appearance. The appearance of our Lady in the grotto. Tre fontaine . Thousands of people including priests go there. And then Mass is concelebrated. One priest said it is mostly ladies dressed in black- Italian women in mourning.
That Priest and his friend saw the miracle of the sun that year.

This is a very understated apparition that has seen some of its revelation locked up by the Vatican.

Yeah.

The wrath of God in the New Covenant era is illustrated well in Romans 1.

God allows people to have what they WANT.

Then they have to deal with the proverbial “nuclear fallout” from their own rejection of Him.

Which can drive people to their knees in prayer hopefully.

here you go, Tre Fontaine The Virgin of Revelation.
I’ll look at it a little later. Gotta go.

Tre Fontaine is the place where St. Paul was beheaded.

His head fell and bounced three times with three fountains springing up from those places.

Thus Tre Fontaine - three fountains.

this should be a link to the youtube of the story 🙂

I’ve been to Our Lady of Revelation shrine. It is actually across the street from the place where St. Paul was beheaded (that area is part of a monastery not associated with the Marian shrine) and is carved out of a public park.

The message of Tre Fontane, which is approved for faith expression but not by the local bishop or the Vatican (Corrected post), is pretty much the same as Fatima and Lourdes: pray for reparation, pray for the conversion of sinners. It is not anything different. Our Lady of Revelation is beloved in Rome because she is local, you can buy statues of her all over the place, but most people not from Rome don’t recognize the Mary statues as specific to the apparition (you can tell by the outfit which is distinctively colored).

The people who go there are normal, ordinary people of the sort who go to Marian shrines, maybe just a smaller and more Italian crowd because the place is outside the city and off the tourist beaten path. IDK when all these “ladies in black” show up, it wasn’t when I was there.

It is said the apparition will never be formally approved (corrected by me) because of the past character of Bruno Cornacchiola who previously hated the Church, claims to have deliberately injured/paralyzed a priest, and planned to assassinate Pope Pius XII. In his later years he also claimed to have received various anti-Islamic private revelations which can be read online in his translated autobiography. I can see where the Church would not want to call attention to that, though I think Bruno was acting in good faith. I also don’t think anything was “locked up by the Vatican” because Bruno pretty much told all of his own revelations in his own book. He wasn’t exactly a shy, quiet, retiring type.

In any event, none of this has anything to do with a secular exhibit on Carthage including a scary-looking Moloch statue.

When asked, Sister Lucia said it had not been done. It was not done to what Our Lady had specifically asked, the consecration of Russia in the presence of all the Bishops of the world.
From Wikipedia:
The Vatican claimed that Sister Lúcia declared in writing during the 1980s that the consecration performed by Pope John Paul II in St. Peter’s Square, in the Vatican City, on March 25, 1984 had been properly accomplished and was accepted in Heaven. The authenticity of this is not accepted, however, by experts at the Fatima Centre including Fr. Nicholas Gruner and Christopher Ferrara.
The late Fr. Gruner pushed all kinds of conspiracy theories and I do not consider him credible. . . .

I can agree with those saying that this Moloch statue doesnt have anything to do with the Church. I dont think we need to make a conspiracy about it, or blame the Church.

I wonder what the point of placing the thing there is. Some are comparing it to an exhibit in a museum. Museums usually have themes which are expressed. Its purpose is education on history and culture. Is that what placing a demon statue at the Colosseum was for? Is there a sign explaining the exhibit? If not, why not?
