Really. The multiverse theory is way more complex an explanation.Hmm. So… you’re saying that of these two claims,
Claim #2 satisfies Occam’s razor (“entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity”) better?
- the universe was not made for us. The conditions in the universe allowed for our existence, but they could have just as easily been something else that didn’t allow for our existence.
- the universe was specifically and intentionally made for us (or for life), implying that an entity that’s capable of exercising intent and is powerful enough to “fine tune” a universe necessarily exists.
IOW, the number of entities in claim 2 (which calls for at least one extra entity) is less than that in claim 1 (which calls for no extra entities) .

Let’s examine his quote again:
“The fine tuning of the universe provides prima facie evidence of deistic design. Take your choice: blind chance that requires multitudes of universes or design that requires only one.”
