I’ll need to give it back to @TheLittleLady or @acanonlawyer but I was pretty sure that the Church didn’t teach that today’s non-Catholics are consitered heretics.

I’ll bow out to either @TheLittleLady or @acanonlawyer .

Good luck in your endeavors, but as a non-Catholic…I’m getting conflicting answers here, one of which contradicts with many of the others.

Once again, I’ll turn that over to @acanonlawyer or possibly @edward_george1 . It’s quite different than what I’ve read here before (at least in the majority).

I wonder why the Church would allow members to enter into sacramental marriages with heretics (I guess) such as myself…?

Then why allow it at all?

@edward_george1 is this true…the Church is just Loose with permission now. You’d really not want to do a wedding between a non-Catholic and Catholic?

Great idea… A priest can bless the ocean, the world and a child. I use holy water every night and sprinkle it in my room saying a prayer. Nothing wrong in sharing the gift of blessings from a priest and having holy water along for the journey… As dear pope Francis says, beware of being “rigid”… His favorite vocabulary word since his election.

You , I did not see who you were responding to and misinterpreted your word. I apologize.

No offense, but I’ve tagged a cannon lawyer and a priest to weigh in on the subject. I have noticed that some of your references are nearly 300 years old, none of them were covered in VII?

Eitherway, you’re still not answering my question. If non-Catholic Christians aren’t really Christian (which I believe is what you’re getting at), then why would the Church even allow mixed-marriages in the first place? Eitherway, you have a very IDK…distorted and let’s say unwelcoming view of NC’s so I’ll wait and see if the cannon lawyer or priest that I have tagged weigh in… 🤷‍♂️

Wow, step away for 24 hours and this thread takes some weird turns. Witchcraft? Spells and counterspells? Are aliens next? And how did we get to debating EENS?

I find the crop duster stunt to be weird, ill-advised, and possibly promoting a misunderstanding of faith and sacramentals. Offensive? A little, but not that is no that big of a deal (to me at least). I am more concerned about the potential damage caused through ridicule and misunderstanding, some of which is evident in this thread.

A apostrophe s denotes the possessive form. Therefore, it refers to the objects or views held by a person using the name “Traddy”. Examples are “Traddy’s football”, “Traddy’s phone” or “Traddy’s opinions”.

To denote a plural, with the word ending in “Y” one would have to say “Traddies are usually” or “Traddies like to”.

Looking at the entire message though, it is clear the person was talking about Traditionalists as a group, not just me. It was just improper spelling.

Not that I’m trying to start any arguments here, just saying what is deduced from their message.

I provided a secondary source given by a priest of the One Holy Catholic Church given the assumption that you are a Catholic in good standing. A priest that demonstrates true charity in his mission to evangelize in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Church with many citations and not hint of an agenda. Unlike that of say James Martin and others.

If this is not a sufficient source, the possiblity is such that none would suffice.

it appears to have been a success and will be done on a larger scale next year according to BBC

Sure…I’m trying to figure out what you’re saying. In one statement you say the Church doesn’t allow it, but locally they can. Strange…

You’ve been fairly rude to me across a couple of threads now. Is that due to me not being Catholic?

I have asked a couple of time, but yet to get an answer.

If non-Catholic can’t have faith in God (which you state above) do you believe that non-Catholic Christians are, in fact, actually not Christians. A yes or no will suffice.

From a letter in 1803…so from that letter it’s assumed that now-a-days abuse is common and that many mixed-marriages are done by priests without getting a dispensation…interesting.

Uh…ya you have.

🤦‍♂️

So, than it allows it because it allows for exceptions. Would that be correct as well?

Why are you getting so hostile? I asked a question. I think that times have changed since then and it’s a little easier to get the proper permissions…because communication.

OK – I’ve asked you this a couple of times now:

You stated above that non-Catholic Christians don’t / can’t have faith in God. Does this mean you don’t believe that non-Catholic Christians are in fact not Christian at all?
