To me it appears that the Free Will Gifted by God is a Gift that God has to keep a finger on and** give us a subsequent Revelation that will guide** that Free Will from where we have taken it too, back to what God has intended for us 👍

Does everyone not see how the sun shines upon all and the rain falls on all? So God is with and loves all His children. God loves all humanity as He created them. So God is with all humanity.

As regards polygamy it was an old practice and people did not give it up overnight but gradually through God’s teachings have slowly been learning that one wife is what is recommended.

The Quran only really permitted monogamy because it made more wives dependent upon justice to all of them which is impossible except for God.

Quran 4:3

If you fear that you cannot be equitable [to them], then marry only one,

Now the matter of Muhammad prophesied in Deut 33:2 as above. I take it all my dear Catholic brothers here agree and now accept that Muhammad was foretold in Bible?

If Christians of any kind were to accept that he were prophesised positively in the bible, we wouldn’t be Christians now would we? No, Muhammad is not a Prophet of God predicted in the bible.

Also a man can barely be just with one wife, let alone four.

Yours and worldcitizen have different views on the matter

worldcitizen message #710
“Many problems have arisen from incorrect English translations which are currently used as a foundation to attack Islam but which can be proven to be baseless.”

worldcitizen message #701
“Simply because that’s the language it was originally revealed in and in translation meanings are lost. No other language on earth is as rich as Arabic”

And you say Catholics are “confused”
Dear Jimmy,

These views are not the teachings of the Baha’i Faith.

There is no confusion 🙂

Not one Baha’i is confused on this subject, yet EVERY Christian is confused on what to think about Islam.

No confusion at all in the Baha’i Faith. It is a representative of the unification of mankind.

Every Christian? Someone posted the comments of Christian saints before on Islam and they weren’t very confused. I am not very confused as are a number of people on this board. Granted there are some Christians who might be confused or ignorant because they don’t know enough about Islam but that’s because they have focused their time on learning the truth of Christianity more than the falsehood of Islam.

Also Bahai have not unified anything, their very existence has caused more division in the world.

They rejected Christ also even though He was prophesied, saying:

'What good comes out of Nazareth’in 1:46

Now we know today that accusation was false with hindsight and good did come from Nazareth.

However where’d Paran is mentioned that is also the Word of God. Paran is in Arabia where Muhammad had His Revelation. And Strong even goes on to describe it as ‘the land of caves’ and Muhammad had His revelation in a cave. The Bible deliberately points to Paran as where a Holy One will arise.

But the real truths are spiritual. Like Christ, Muhammad conquered the hearts and souls of people including kings and queens. Only men of God have been able to do this.

We cannot dismiss the dissimilarity of what Christ established, versus what Muhammad established. You quote one verse regarding Mount Paran and conclude it must have been Muhammad which doesn’t follow from one verse alone.

Dear Ignatian,

Since coming here I have learned so much from you wonderful Catholics. Your devotion is sincere and I read the Bible more than ever since coming here and love it more. I try to have a humble posture of learning so we can share in a spirit of brotherhood.

Thank you for having me here.

Only food for thought though as it is possible Muhammad is being referred to here.

With so many Muslims in the world I personally think God didnt leave His children shepherd less but left this and other passages referring to Paran so Christians could know that Muhammad was also sent by Him.

Also see:

Genesis 21:21, Numbers 12:16, Numbers 13:3.

Because I don’t believe in islam and baha’i faith or muhammad and bahá’u’lláh/mírzá husayn-`alí núrí doesn’t make me “confused”. Wholeheartedly I believe in Christianity and I hold true to what Christ is. Hopefully that will clear up some confused you may have about me Servant

Genesis 22: 2 : Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love–Isaac–and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”

So which Bible are you using WC? Or is the Quran not clear about Abraham taking Isaac? Still waiting for clarity about the Quran on this.

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “**Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. **38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”[a] 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. - John 7:39

Later Jesus in John 17: 5 - 15 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them…

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, **so that they may have the full measure **of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.

JimmyDFG, do you think people will get confused with the above?

Sorry it’s not in the Quran. 😉

Sounds pretty straightforward to me. Hopefully people will understand the verses you have given:thumbsup:

Catechism of the Catholic Church 65
65 "In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son."26 Christ, the Son of God made man, is the Father’s one, perfect and unsurpassable Word. In him he has said everything; there will be no other word than this one. St. John of the Cross, among others, commented strikingly on Hebrews 1:1-2:
In giving us his Son, his only Word (for he possesses no other), he spoke everything to us at once in this sole Word - and he has no more to say. . . because what he spoke before to the prophets in parts, he has now spoken all at once by giving us the All Who is His Son. Any person questioning God or desiring some vision or revelation would be guilty not only of foolish behavior but also of offending him, by not fixing his eyes entirely upon Christ and by living with the desire for some other novelty.
