Stunning rebuke of Trump

Not many of Trump’s supporters have committed perjury, lied to congress, spied on congressmen, deliberately bombed civilians or peddled Russian disinformation like Brennan has.

In at least those categories, I would say Trump supporters are moral giants compared to Brennan.

But he might be nicer to his dog. I can’t be sure.

This comment is a little harsh.

“toxic filth”

All three are successful published authors.

Loesch is a supporter of the Second Amendment.

Coulter has published 12 books.

Ingraham has a radio program and a television show.

There’s a pretty famous older gentleman who used to be a registered communist in Slovenia, and he just became a US citizen. :woman_shrugging:t2:
 
Johanna Lindsey has published 50 books.

Many of them best sellers.

He voted for Gus Hall once when he was a college kid, and has long since said it was a mistake.

Well, considering I myself used to be a Democrat up until I was 42…
 
I had a wonderful friend from England who was living here in America while her American husband was stationed here and her English father had been a communist. She was still my friend. She was not a communist herself.

There are different degrees and manners of being dissatisfied with the system. Trump himself does not like the “system” since he is always saying “drain the swamp.” If Brennan has issues with the system today, there is no reason to think that his issues are treasonous or otherwise cause for revoking a security clearance.

With all that said, I think David Brooks yesterday gave the best analysis of this whole “Revoke his security clearance” brawl:
Well, I mean, he’s politicized something that probably shouldn’t be politicized.

But I confess I have trouble getting my knickers in a twist about this one. A lot of us don’t have security clearances. It doesn’t seem to be a problem in life. The reason they keep people on security clearance after their time in office is so they can offer advice.

And I think, frankly, it’s a little of a vanity thing, that people get to say, I still have my security clearance. And so, when it’s taken away — but John Brennan wasn’t giving the Trump administration advice anyway.

And so the idea they have to live without security clearance after they have been out of office doesn’t strike me as one of Donald Trump’s most massive transgressions in office. It doesn’t strike me particularly as a free speech issue.

John Brennan, the rest of us without security clearance are perfectly free to have our speech. And I guess there is some disadvantage, career disadvantage, to people who may be younger, but of the top 5,000 Trump transgressions, I wouldn’t put this high on the charts.

Publishers public books to sell. If there’s a market they will publish. Even AnnCoulter.

She supports guns. Therefore her writing on whatever is beyond reproach.

I bet Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky used a bunch of footnotes too.
