I came across the term “scare quotes” yesterday for the first time. I knew what it meant, but did not know there was actually a term for it.

Well, technically we have ourselves to blame for 9/11. Never would’ve happened if we hadn’t spiritually gone down to Hell. The terrorists were just the instuments (not that they’re any less guilty, of course).
