Anniversaries are hard but I think they are even harder when it was sudden, all those what if (and why) questions seam to get so much more frequent. If I ever find away to make anniversaries and holidays easier I promise to share it with you.

Prayers,

Mary
**Thank you Mary - are you all bearing life? **

Dearest Moe,

May you receive the comfort of our Blessed Mother…You are in my prayers.
**yes, she would alone know the pain that we are feeling … I often think of that and how greater her pain was to see her son … treated so terribly and tortured and murdered … **

I also will ask our Dear Blessed Mother to surround you and your family and all of your intentions for the other’s who you so graciously ask for prayers for. I don’t even know you but just reading through these posts - it is easy to see that you are such a kind, loving and caring person, thinking of others as you go through such sadness and having to relive so many precious memories at this time, may God comfort you all and hold you in the palm of His hand. (don’t forget to ask your dear little Saint’s intercession too, she must be praying for you all before the Heavenly court.)

I haven’t posted to you in a long time. I’m sorry about that. I was so touched by you & your beautiful daughter & family that I have never forgotten you. Fairly often I think of you guys & say something like, “God, please help the Geisingers”. I will definitely be doing that this month. Prayers for you all.:gopray2:

As you approach a very difficult day, May God , Jesus, Mary and Joseph all surround you with love to comfort you.

I pray for your family as well as all those who loved KK dearly - her friends missing her and her teachers.

She sounds like such a special person - special people are born of special, strong and remarkable parents! Please remember that.

You continue to be an inspiration to so many suffering and grieving. Let God help you one day at a time.

Moe - that is a beautiful memorial.

I still remember the day I read your first post about loosing her - I was sobbing at the computer, trying to explain this horrible loss to my husband. He cried with me and we prayed for all of you.

It seems like yesterday, and yet it seems like ages.

You are still and always in my prayers.

~Liza

I know you don’t know me, and I really don’t know why I felt compelled to write this…but I hope you’ll accept the thoughts and prayers of a very lapsed Catholic…

I actually found this board while bouncing around Agnostic and Atheist pages. I followed a link to a discussion on here, and I was drawn into reading. I’ve been wandering the board for almost three days now, including reading almost the entire thread and a half about your dear daughter.

I have four children of my own. While I can’t possibly imagine what you’re going through, I have some vague idea. My children were lost to me for almost a year due to a CPS mess. While they of course came home eventually, the time they were gone was hell on earth. I know how it feels to be unable to sleep. I know how it is to forget to eat and to wonder what your children are doing and where they are.

We got through it with the help of our friends, but I was afraid to call on God. I was raised in a Christmas/Easter Catholic household, and while I felt the power of the Mass back then, my parents didn’t encourage it. We were Catholic because we were supposed to be, not because it meant anything. So, why would God have wanted to help me after I had turned my back on Him…?

Some days I think of going back to the church…but it’s a hard decision…my boyfriend is also a lapsed Catholic and has no interest in religion at all. But, reading these forums and seeing the strength that God and Jesus is giving you to get you through this time has strengthened my resolve. I am reminded of the power and beauty of the rituals from when I was a child, and I wonder if I can ever regain that feeling…I’ll figure something out!

But, enough of my rambling. I know I am nothing compared to the rest of the people on this board, but you are in what passes for my prayers. My the Lady keep you in her arms and Jesus keep you in his heart.

It is certainly wonderful how God provides us with the grace we need to be strong witnesses in the face of tragedy. I remember so clearly those first few days after Gabriel drowned. I am certain that he was praying for us before Dale even pulled him from the pool. God gave us acceptance very quickly. Still, the event was a traumatic and haunting one. I have a very physical reaction whenever I contemplate that evening in March.

He’s in good hand’s though. God helps us with our crosses. Death involves finality. Your situation was so uncertain. I can definitely see how having your children away from you would be disconcerting. I strongly recommend reconnecting with Church. Faith is a strong ally in times of adversity.

By the way, WELCOME.

Chris, don’t be so hard on yourself. We all go through being ‘lapsed’ …. In our lifetimes. I am honored that you are reaching out and wanting to pray for us … truly – I thank you one millions time over and over!

**I would be interested in seeing this link … would you mind telling me where it is? **

We are just now coming up to the one year anniversary. Even before I started typing this, I felt a wave of grief and despair rush right over me, through me, under me …. It is still hard to believe that our beautiful daughter is no longer physically here on earth.

Our pain is more for us … being her without her … we know, unlike you did, KK is fine and happy and just loving being in Heaven … it is funny – I always thought I would have to worry about her … she wasn’t as spiritual as her sister Amanda. Amanda is a great pray warrior …. She says the most beautiful prayers. I would remind KK to pray and she would say – I will be I fall asleep praying and I would tell her well the angels will finish them for you  …. Little did I know – she would be in heaven before us … perhaps helping us get there … for we all know – the survivors, that we have to make sure our choices do not keep us from heaven’s doors.

**He is a loving Father. Look at how many times his apostles turned their back on him … and he made one of the Pope!!!

He knows we are human and we are going to make mistakes Chris. We can get mad at him you know – I think he can take it. What is important is to not let him out of your sight if at all possible.

Even with my situation – I am mad as heck with his decision … why didn’t he heal KK like he healed Lazareth … after he died? Why did her take a girl who was perfection on earth and keep the kids that are just hoping to die because of the neglect and abuse that they have to experience on Earth.

We had heaven on earth and we thanked God every night at dinner for the safe traveling mercies and that we were all brought back together safely.

We still do that …. Yet we ache for our McKayla … I ache for her for she was my reflection. She looked like me, was left handed like me, we held hands during dinner – we sat next to each other; she cooked like I did … I ache for my baby girl … and it doesn’t let up – only when I sleep. I find myself going up to bed earlier and earlier … just to escape the pain.**

Some days I think of going back to the church…but it’s a hard decision…my boyfriend is also a lapsed Catholic and has no interest in religion at all.

I** shall keep you in my prayers … that the Holy Spirit will come upon your heart and give you the burning desire to go back to church …. My husband isn’t even Catholic Chris … he attends Mass with us and has been for over 20+ years …. So if a non-catholic can attend … certainly lapse Catholics can!**

**If I did not have my faith – which is my life preserver, I would be sunk …. And although the pain in our lives is constant … we have a goal … a goal to try and live Godly lives … and I just don’t think I personally, could without the Eucharist and all the prayers of all the saints gone before us. My McKayla is a saint … that is amazing to me!**But, enough of my rambling. I know I am nothing compared to the rest of the people on this board, but you are in what passes for my prayers. My the Lady keep you in her arms and Jesus keep you in his heart.
**
Please don’t say that Chris. We are all made in the image of God … so each and everyone of us is special – to Him, no matter our circumstances in life.

Know I will be praying for you as you continue on in this journey …. And I thank you for praying for us … we need it – our life is filled with unimaginable pain …. And prayers are what keeps us going.

All my blessings to you and your boyfriend,

Moe**
